@tonibauer29495 жыл бұрын
Dharmabum9287 she is incredible and yes, her playing is so good. I got front table in West Hollywood at the rainbow grill when she first came out to California to “cross over” and become a big star. So many famous people were there that night, but the only one I cared about who was there was Lynda Ronstadt, my all time favorite female singer. So sad that she can no longer sing.
@stephencolwell62885 жыл бұрын
@Dharmabum9287 Dolly made her own guitar and wrote her first song, and performed it on stage before the age of 10. She was raised in a 2 room cabin not far from where I live. Her parents paid the Dr. who delivered her with a sack of cornmeal. She was so poor she used to mix up her own makeup. Her grandfather was against her singing country bc he was a "hellfire and brimstone kind of preacher" to quote the Knox. News Sentinel so she would sneak over to her Aunts house in Knoxville. She's sing on the radio, then she was a regular on the Cas Walker show. Her life is fascinating. Her series Heartstrings is on Netflix right now. My family gets Dollywood season tickets every year. Next year will be the 35th anniversary that the theme park opened. She will have a movie premiering on the Hallmark Channel on Dec. 8th at 9pm called Christmas At Dollywood, I guess you can say I'm a huge fan of her and Loretta Lynn.

Dolly is a National Treasure, not biased because I’m from East Tennessee, she’s the best. She’s a living legend and I’m proud just to call my home and hers the same. Got to meet her in the early 90’s at Dollywood and she was so nice to me my little brother and all of us around. Gah, Memories
