Went a saw Clay Walker last friday nite 1-28-22, at Billy Bobs, about his 3rd or 4th song was a Randy Travis song. Then Randy came out on stage, he is in a wheelchair now, the crowd gave him a standing ovation and hats off as he did his best to wave at the fans. Still sad that this is where he is at now. Several months ago he was there at another concert, but he was able to still stand up to wave at the crowd. That night brought happiness and also tears to those who still love him..

I love Dolly Parton. I wish my father and I could meet her. She’s our cousin. My great uncle would give her and Randy and the other Parton children apples when they were kids. First off, I really liked Anne Murray. We had her album which I think my Dad bought (which in retrospect is odd since he didn’t buy albums) and, I would listen to it over & over. It’s great seeing Randy Travis (and, Dolly) too. I’m 56 and I prefer “old” country from the 70’s & 80’s. Now. It’s more country pop music now to be able to cross over to a wider audience.

Dolly: "I just wanted to come out here and make sure you didn't need me!" Randy: "...Uhh...Well, I might" You simply can't script something this funny. And as someone who was born around the time this was filmed, I have to say that Dolly Parton in her prime (mid-late 1970s) was probably one of the sexiest women to ever walk the face of this planet.

One for the Big Hits from the 60's all the way through the 90's. Onefor lesser known songs of that same time period, One for songs older than the 60's. And One for Modern day songs that are ACTUAL country.
@duckduckgoismuchbetter7 жыл бұрын
DioceseTemplar Keith Urban, Shania Twain, and Brooks and Dunn...and a lot of other Unworthys happened to it! That's what happened to country music. "Really Bad Pop In A Cowboy Hat" is what it was turned into. Country Music is dead...and they deliberately stole the name from us. And I resent it...very much. There was a Murder On Music Row...and for that, someone SHOULD hang!

this was a time when country music was not yet corrupted by the ongoing pressure of rap and alternative rock and all that other nonsense. and the kids nowadays will never know what good music really was when society shoves this modern day sex and language era of hip country down their throats before they ever know anything else. its depressing just to think about it
@60toodles8 жыл бұрын
+Lindsay Jackson What's more depressing is that you think we should all like the same music. We're all individuals and we each have our own preferences. What's good music to you is bad to somebody else and visa versa. Lot more important things to get depressed about hun.

+60toodles i never said we're supposed to all like the same thing. im saying its a shame what kids listen to nowadays, and none of them grasp any meaning of life anymore with senseless thumping pounding their heads in. it really doesn't even matter what people listen to, its either how you apply it to your life or how you refrain from letting it control you that matters
