Hi. I came across your channel yesterday and although you seem to be a dji user (my main 4K capable aircraft is an H480 hex) I decided to look at a couple of your videos. As a fellow commercial operator I thought I had it pretty much nailed but clearly I'm wrong. Just looking at some of your videos has taught me a few new things...this video in particular: It never occurred to me to do a dolly zoom. I tried it on a short clip last night in my editor and it works wonderfully!

Suggestion: What I do to mark the width of the house/whatever before adding the post-zoom effect is to stick a couple of post-it notes on the screen to mark the left and right edges of the main subject. Then go to the wide shot, and manipulate the zoom and centering to match the post-it notes. Easy, dead accurate, includes positioning of the manipulated shot as well as zooming. You don't need the trial and error or the reference clip that way.

Yeah, well I guess you're cropping out the wide periphery of the frame. Not sure you can correct that using basic editing software mind you. Programmes like After Effects you can do anything but that's a whole new level.

If you're using Adobe Premiere, there are a bunch of Lens Distortion removal presets in the effects section, and like all other effects they can be keyframed too. Nice and easy, adobe have done all the higher level work for us :)
