I was there, with the love of my life and the lady to whom I've now been married for 30 years. We were still college students at Portland State University. The sold-out concert had been postponed due to Dolly's illness, so I was able to buy two tickets two rows from the top of Portland's Memorial Coliseum, and it was one of the greatest concerts I've ever attended. I never thought much of country music until my baby introduced me to it. Wow, what a night.
