At least from what I heard a few years ago, if you're making a custom guitar you always want to use Wii guitar internals so I think the intended market for this is people who already have ways to use Wii guitars on PC

That's cool the SD Card experiment. I think this is a supported feature for a while already. I have an SSD portable device that I am able to switch between Fedora and Steam Deck. I can easily remove the SSD from my computer and connect it to my Steam Deck's dock and it recognizes it and load all the games from it out of the box.

For those who don't know, Wii guitars for guitar hero are the best because they're the only one that has an (unofficial) adapter to plug it in directly to your PC, this way you get the lowest input lag possible. Guitars for other consoles are wireless and there's no way to plug them directly.

I recently got the GH WoR Drum Kit working with the MayFlash DolphinBar and it worked out-of-the-box in Dolphin. I play GHWT and BH. The instruments are just Wiimote attachments after all like the Nunchuck, so if you already have a Wiimote working with Dolphin, it should work just the same.

Part of the reason why there's a new Wii guitar is because of Clone Hero, which is, well, a fanmade Guitar Hero clone with custom beatmaps, and from what I've heard Wii guitars are technically the best because of higher polling rates or something, and raphnet sells Wii plug adaptors for PC so Wii guitars, and well, anything with that connector, like Wii Classic Controllers and the NES and SNES Classic Mini controllers can be used for PC Gaming.

I will tell you EXACTLY why Wii guitars are preferred by a lot of GH/RB players. Wii Guitars are, interally, just funny looking Classic Controllers, and as Classic controllers, most of the important guts are in the Wii Remote, which is why you need to connect one. Nowadays a number of adapters exist that allow you to connect classic controllers to USB, and since most of the guts are in the adapter, you can give the controller superpowers like 1000hz polling rates and compatibility with PC and multiple home consoles instead of just the Wii. Guitars for other home consoles require the guts of the guitar to be almost entirely replaced for compatibility with other machines. I'm surprised that Hyperkin clocked that Wii guitars were what enthusiasts were going after. They must have checked modern sales numbers and saw what people were buying. Although, if you're making a new guitar from scratch, I don't know why would you wouldn't just start from your own internals and have it programed to support multiple consoles by itself. Enthusiasts (me included) will take old, broken, or useless guitars and replace the guts with a solution including an Arduino for easily programming it to support multiple platforms, so a company like Hyperkin could just make their own internals that do the same thing. I'm guessing they just had the resources to make one of these old style Wii guitars, so that's what they did, so they didn't bother making something absolutely brand new. I would be shocked if this somehow wasn't exactly like other Wii guitars and didn't just work with Dolphin with a regular Wii remote.

I liked Nobara, but it really would've benefited from being immutable. Granted, I only used it during the 3X series, but you often get some package conflicts or otherwise a manual intervention required. It's almost like Arch, which is ironic since GE has laughed at Arch userbase suffering from glibc and grub issue before (which is good as they acted as canary in the coal mine for non-Arch users). I don't think it's best, I just don't think it's worth it unless you absolutely need root access. Especially as Bazzite has pulled ahead in terms of new user setup/introduction.

I'd love an 11" device. because I want to do things other than gaming, and 11" is basically the minimum to comfortably be productive in Windows. I've tried numerious handhelds from asus, and lenovo, and they're all terrible at doing anything other than gaming. you'd need an external monitor, mouse, keyboard, associated cables.... it becomes convoluted and worse than just having a laptop. essentially a large tablet with detachable controllers sounds like a great compromise.

I have the One Plus 11 and I love it. It's one of the few phones now that have expandable memory and 3.5mm headphones. Surprisingly the audio is nice loud and not static. Just read the specs and it you cannot expand memory and no headphone jack! 😢 Very disappointed was planning to upgrade to our for my birthday but huge pass because of this. And we love and miss Fluff 🐈

To be honest, I personally don't mind it, but I think it's mostly due to that it is technically "Subscriber interaction" label. So it doesn't matter if it's a nice catchphrase or something content creators use, it still is labeled as "encouraging people to sub to the person's youtube channel." Heck, even I tell people they can sub, like/dislike, comment, share, or do none at all and still enjoy the video anyway. That to me has been the tagline I've used since my first video back in May 2011, even though 2011 and will still be used for the foreseeable future; where I tell people you can sub or not, like/dislike, comment, share, whatever you like to do, or none of the above. I myself, unlike other youtubers, don't force people to sub or like my channel just to get popular than other people (I have no interest in competition with others, I just see KZbin as a hobby and that's it).
