Hey! I came by from twitch, and here are some lore friendly tips! Hammerburst...? Way more powerful than you think. From what I've seen you've only shot it as fast as it's normal firing speed. You can actually shoot it as fast as you can push the trigger! The weapon was once an undying nightmare in Gears 3's multiplayer in skilled hands! Also, since there are sooo many new executions in gears 3 and beyond, you should totally do an a reaction of every execution once you complete the game! (to see the one's you missed, and didn't do.)

i love Gears but the downside to only playing the games means you miss out on a lot of the backstory. The start of the war, the Hammer strikes, the COG breaking up, Marcus' history with his father... that's all detailed in the tie-in novels but not really explored much in the actual games. Jace & Sam (and someone else you'll meet later) were both introduced in tie-in media before they were made playable here in 3.

Honestly, this game was written by an all-star team. This game was written by Eric Nylund, who wrote some of the best Halo books including the Fall of Reach, Aaron Linde, who's now the Lead Narrative Designer at 343, and Karen Traviss, who's also written a lot of stuff in the Halo Universe including Halo Evolutions WITH Eric Nylund. Sooooooo, yeah, this game is pretty sick.

This may be just the video but make sure you have you Xbox one x setting to graphics and not performance mode for gears 3. when your in the game, press the equivelant of start and back on your controller and it will bring up the old 360 dashboard. Then, press RB until you get to the last tab and one of the options should be "Xbox one X Settings" and make sure it is sett to graphics. Alot of games on 360 are hard capped at 30fps and setting it to performance mode does nothing except lower the image quality. I'm saying all this because im playing it on my Xbox one x and it looks worse in this video. It's an Xbox one enhanced game so it plays in 4k.

Chairman Presscott really did only want the best for the COG believe it or not. He rallied humanity, gave them the spirit to fight an enemy that past COG Chairmen are responsible for, and was trying to find solutions the entire timeline of Gears 1-3. People hate him, but the guy gave a fucking awesome speech and definitely deserves more acknowledgment. Also, Clay Carmine is here!
