Tbh, my mom raced til she died. my dad almost died in a qtr mile wreck in Bozeman mo when I was a kid and it was the Most terrifying thing I went through. But when I he got up, I knew that everything can be overcome, we rebuilt the car and he raced the next year. I have been racing on the street for 23 years now, I have a daughter aspiring to the same path....when we drive, the only thing worst than wrecking is to let our burdens slow is down, rise above them, drive beyond, give it all you got and dont look back. Life is not tougher than us and it never will be. Ride....or die.

I was rewatching the first Fast and Furious when I noticed Dom telling Brian about how his dad died in the crash and caught on fire. That’s some eerie ominous foreshadowing to Paul’s death.

Another plot hole here. I know Jacob doesn't exist in the 2001 movie and Dom wanted to cut Jakob out of the family completely.. but this scene is entirely now a plot hole by Dominic not telling Brian the whole truth about how his father died.

Not to mention Dom is clearly feeling regret for beating Linder but F9 makes Linder an antagonistic prick who picked a fight rather than a racer who simply caused an accident. It honestly just seems unnecessary. I know these are supposed to be throwaway action movies you don't really think about but the writing in the first one was decent for what it was and every subsequent movie seemingly undermines the characterization from it. Also, it's a minor thing but Dom says he saw Kenny a week later.. Looks like it was the same day in F9.

I’m like Dom, I’m a Dodge/Mopar guy 100% of the way. I just bought a 2020 Scat Pack Challenger last week. But despite all that I don’t dislike Mustangs, in fact, before I bought the Challenger I *almost* bought a 2012 Boss 302 that we got traded in to my dealership. But I went with the Challenger because it’s a lot newer with a fraction of the mileage, plus it’s black and that’s my favorite color.

I liked the way it flowed with the next music cue and the line about being banned from the tracks for life. Seeing what appear to be the ruins of the tracks long passed their glory days while he says that line and the music swells added an effect of lost nostalgia. It did for me, anyway.
