15 pts is kinda low for his caliber. He's way too atheltic and he's really known to be a scorer around the paint. I don't think his bball iq would ever improve but i think he may just have to lessen his 3pt attempts, just maybe
@ZedButNotDead6 жыл бұрын
@@buenvidanadz1969 he's known for his scoring at the rim, but it isn't actually elite. it would still take him 10-12 shots per game to average 15 points, which would be fine if he applied himself to his 2 man game with adams, making the right passes and defense. The reason his bball iq gets so little respect is directly caused by his play hard attitude causing him to throw up bad shots. If he refocused his efforts, i'm sure we'd see an improvement on that front.

Westbrook’s issue is he gets baited into shooting bad shots, if you watch him at the three point line he will stand there and the d will sag off (aka baiting him) and being Russ he shoots it and the d closes him out and he usually misses the shot. This happens so much during the games and it is destroying his shooting percentages. He needs to start shooting 3s when he is wide open and play within the offense. He is trying to hard to be curry (as you said) and isn’t being himself. If he would just shoot the right shots his game would improve tenfold. But of course this is just my opinion.

Finally! Someone speaks the truth. Been saying this all year. This is the most positively impactful season in Russ’ career. And yes, without a doubt. There’s still improvement to go, starting with those 3s. But there is another reason imo, when russ takes it to the rim he rarely gets the foul call. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen him get smacked in the face and didn’t get a call. That’s part 1. Part 2 being ever since the nba changed the rule about walking to half court and back russ has been struggling with free throws. Free throws are mostly mental, and when you change your routine it changes you. So I think with those 2 factors, he’s settling a bit more.

Has all the tools, just needs to take the foot off the gas and distribute more. In my opinion, I always saw him as a natural SG who had to play PG outta necessity.

I would rather him be doing good on defence like he's doing right now than him scoring like the last 2 years

Dom, I think ur awesome, but I think ur videos and takes would be so much better if u used advanced stats. True Shooting percentage is a great stat bcs it accounts for the extra pt when shooting a 3 and a players free throw %. Looking at stats like that, rpm, per 100 possessions, etc would improve your content a lot. You can use basketballreference.com to see a lot of rly good stats.

I agree he just needs to stop taking as many 3s. They make me so mad. He’s so good in midrange but taking those 3s seems to get him cold in the midrange. Maybe this will convince people to not hate Russ as much. Thunder up!

Russ has the skills in him to do anything at the NBA level. He just needs the mentality and approach to the game it requires to win.

Is a championship point guard just a point guard that plays for a championship team? He's already good enough for that. I mean Mario Chalmers was a "championship point guard" for God's sake. Nothing against Mario, that was just off the top of my head.

I respect westbrook for his insane stat padding skills, but he just doesn't take his game to the next level ever
@gabe4256 жыл бұрын
Easily? No but he sure could be with the right pieces around him. He's already got the big ones too, Adams and PG are the PERFECT players next to him.
