The man had the worst season of his professional career and only analysts debaters like Skip Bayless would diss him like that, it is just that is flaws are causing him much more problems now then ever before. You need to understand that players care about stats, because they want to be objectively appraised. If skmeone criticises a player who avgs triple double, this is an insult to a player! But we dont have to agree with players perspective. it is obvious Russ hasnt been a top player for years and hasnt been a winning type of player for longer. He is a centre of system type of player -- like Lebron or Luka -- but just levels below them and he cannot adapt his game, cannot stop making easy mistakes etc. It has been going on for years.

The disrespect on Russell Westbrook is one of the most disgusting things I've seen in sports recently. Dude played his a** off for 10 years, was an incredible player, hall of famer, winner. All he did recently was get old. Like we all will....Just disgusting. And subconsciously racist. Not because people hate him because he's black. But because they can't relate to his physicality and athleticism and fierce attitude
@stevenjm122 жыл бұрын
naw not racist. stop reaching
@Jistsu772 жыл бұрын
People hate him because he is a spoiled brat. He is washed, and he just doesn't want to accept that he's a role player in this moment of his career, but yet he chooses to hold thw ball, make turnovers, miss shots, and he really hurts any team he plays on at this moment in his career. He is a bad player, and needs to admit that to himself and I can respect him, because it's unseen that somebody can take a franchise 5 years back, singlehandedly like Russ did to every team he played on. He even hurt OKC with that catastrophic season where he averaged a triple double, and gets the praise for it. He was chasing those triple doubles like a maniac, it was hard to watch how he doesnt care about OKC winning, which is "his franchise". I have 0 respect for a guy thats as full of himself, as Russ is. He should actually be ashamed and apologize to everybody in NBA community.

Lost me with the racism nonsense. I’m white and I love Russell Westbrook. I admire his tenacity. Never understood the heat that he got. That Lakers team is a disaster anyway
@kingdez68782 жыл бұрын
@@Jistsu77 the year he won MVP OKC won like 75% of those games, and overall his teams have won close to like 70% of those game he had a triple double. So to say it was selfish, when it actually translated to winning just proves you’re a hater. You don’t have to like the way he plays ball, but he is first ballot hall of fame. I’d argue his MVP season was as good as any in league history.
