JaCrispy 97 Your lack of games watched and/or your bias skews your perspective. Tatum took a lot of the same shots to my eye difference was, he had a year of tape on him that players could study and find out his tendencies and go to spots, making it much easier to defend him, Donovan Mitchell had a similar experience especially early on in the season. Once that scouting report is up its way harder to do what you want on the court.
@ultimatebulldog28245 жыл бұрын
I give a large part of the blame to Kyrie. His leadership and style of play was not conducive to a winning team the for the majority of the season. Brad Stevens does deserve some blame in this regard. He never established roles and disciplined the team. Stevens also tried pushing Hayward too much upon Tatum, Brown, and Rozier. Instead of working him in he wanted Hayward to be back where he was in Utah and be the 2nd option. And Hayward should of never of been hat this season. I think Stevens felt obligated to do that because he coached him at Butler and he went through a lot with him. The whole season for Boston was just too many mouths to feed and no one sacrificed anything.

Thank you for speaking the truth on Kyrie without sounding like a bitter person. You’re comments On kyrie were spot on. Hate these people who flip flop and never stay consistent with their opinions because of their own agendas. So many greats have had bad playoff series doesn’t mean they aren’t great anymore.
ryan Pressley I wouldn’t really consider them a disappointment because they won 73 games in the regular season. But them losing in the finals after having a 3-1 lead, that’s disappointing. Because when you win 73 games and lose in the finals, when you had the best season ever in NBA History that’s a disappointment. But they were finals contenders before the season so I wouldn’t consider them a disappointment, but them blowing 3-1 lead is very disappointing.

in my opinion, the biggest problem for the celtics in this series, was that when they stopped giannis in game one, they basically challenged the other players on the bucks to step up. the problem was, that I dont think the celtics actually expected anyone else to step up. and when people like George Hill and Pat Connaughton start going off and becoming very reliable options, they had to switch their whole gameplan on the fly. which led to cracks in the defense which giannis ended up exploiting.

You can't totally blame on the media part. The media was all over him, as they are with big time players entering the final year of their contract. That's why he made that comment where he basically said, "Check back on July 6th". Yes, that caused uncertainty with the organization. But read between the lines, he's basically saying, "Get the F off my back media people", to put it lightly. My point is that, yeah, the media is just doing their job, but they need to back off about asking the player about their plans for "next year", because "next year" is not here yet. Let the player focus on this year and getting through the season.

I would've said 2017, but at least they got second that year in 2018 though they got pieces around LeBron in Isaiah Thomas, Jae Crowder, Dwyane Wade, Jeff Green, and Derrick Rose however the Cavs struggled mightily, took losses in games they could've easily won, and fights began to break out amongst the team, so much so that they traded half their team at the trade deadline. Then, they got swept against the Warriors when they eventually got to the Finals, which partially resulted in LeBron deciding to take his talents to the Lakers the next summer
