Amazing video but one thing I just want you to know is that Wilt wasn't a bad teammate that only cared for his stats. It was actually his coach who did that. Chamberlain talks about how the gameplan every game was to just give him the ball and get out the way. Hell the game he scored 100 he didn't even want to. The team kept feeding him the ball so he went with it. Once he got a new coach who taught a team first system his numbers went down but he won 2 chips.

CancaBanta it’s not just about record, guy. It’s about impact. The defensive impact he has already had on the team has made them much better, even offensively they look to Kawhi. Back when it was just DeFrozen and Lowry we all knew they wouldn’t do shit in the playoffs, but with Finals MVP Kawhi on the squad now the whole team has elevated their confidence and overall basketball play.

I absolutely detest the system player argument. It's clear people don't know how to use it properly. I've seen people call Steve Nash, Bill Russell, Tim Duncan, and even Kobe Bryant system players. The main problem is that people try to call players system players, despite the player being far and away the best player or 2nd best player on the team. To put it simply, they weren't system players, they were the system. There's a difference between being a system player for a team and being the foundation of a team.

In my opinion superstars are never system players , I think role players shine more in systems than other players . We see role players jump from team to team for a reason then the hit the right team that uses them correctly and then shine brighter than before . There’s certain role player that are made for certain schemes defensively or offensively .

I really like your point of distinguishing All stars and all stars that can lead a team. It’s like people saying that the 04-06 pistons were equivalent to golden state in term of all stars . Complete bs
@killerfoxes29094 жыл бұрын
Just a reminder to everyone, something Dom didn't mention : Dennis Rodman is a 2 time all star (in 1990 and 1992 well before playing with Jordan) and Horace Grant is a 1 time all star in 1994 (without Jordan). Jordan played with one other all star in the same year as him : Scottie Pippen (in 1990, 92, 93, 96, and 97). People act like Horace Grant and Dennis Rodman were superstars, but they weren't. They were good solid players..but no where close to being superstars. It's not like Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, and Lebron; or even Kyrie, Kevin Love, and Lebron. In both those cases, those players were clearly all superstars (whatever has happened to Love since playing with Lebron); Jordan played on solid good teams with one other superstar (Pippen). His teams were more similar to a team like the LA Clippers or LA Lakers or even the Bucks (although Pippen is certainly better than Kris Middleton) this year then to the loaded 80's Celtics or Lakers, or Boston's big 3 in '08, or Lebron's Miami team, or the Warriors. The basic difference between Jordan's Bulls and the Clips or Lakers or Bucks this year (who are good teams by the way) was that Jordan was simply..that fucking good. Y'all just in denial.

Superteam has to be relevant to the context of the Era, today's NBA you need 3 all stars to be a superteam in the watered down 90's you'd need 2 All stars and 2+ above average starters.
@kohsmoger15675 жыл бұрын
That’s not what a superteam is. You need 3 or 4 all nba players and at least 2 mvp caliber players. Like the heat with Dwade, Lebron and Bosch were a superteam, warriors with Steph, KD, klay and draymond were a superteam, and the big three Celtics were a superteam
