Yo Dom how would you feel about a mid season single elimination tournament in each division as a way to make the season more interesting? I know Adam silver is thinking of adding some other kind of event to change things up. This way theres a legit divisional crown instead of just whoever has the best record.

Thabeet could be useful off the bench on a playoff team if the right team took a chance. If Rudy Gobert can find a niche with his limited offense, then anything is possible.

With all due respect the reason why Steph Curry was able to take power not even is because of his ability to shoot but injuries Steph went through all the injuries when guys like d-rose and Russell Westbrook were considered the two best point guards in the league now after D Rose has been hurt and Russell Westbrook being injured at points in his career led to the elevation of Steph Curry because with all due respect had Russell and Kevin Durant been healthy going into the 2014-2015 postseason I don't think the Warriors would have beat them if Kyrie and Kevin Love with healthy the Warriors wouldn't have won the finals and they proved it because next year you went down 3-1 and had Kevin Durant not wanting to join your team you wouldn't have went to the finals and you blew a 3-1 lead and in the grand scheme of things no point guard in the last 25 years has been able to win Finals MVP and be the best player on his team wow averaging 25 or more let alone having that shooting first mindset so realistically teams were looking for people to be Playmakers because it's easier to find guys who have won championships averaging six or more assist at the guard position then it would be to find somebody averaging 25 or more

No one could’ve predicted Curry. He’s revolutionised the game. Can’t see what you’ve never seen before 😂 he’s a bit of Nash, Allen, Iverson wrapped into one - I see people need explanation: Brains like Nash, Shot like Allen, Handles and flare like A.I. SIMPLE.

@@brockforster8104 when you said Iverson, I thought you meant with the handles. Curry can take it to the basket whenever he feels like, he just doesn't do it unless he's having a poor shooting night. So, I do think a little bit of AI is ok.

Anyone who knows a little about Stephen Curry's past shortly before the NBA knew that NBA teams were worried that he was way too small for the league. They knew he could shoot, but thought he was too little. Even the Warriors didn't see that potential, but because these 6 players got taken before Steph, the Warriors picked him up. As early as Monta Ellis left, the Warriors saw that Steph could do so much for the team.

I agree. Steph improved his game IMMENSELY after getting into the NBA. It's really not something a lot of people would've expected. People also never expected him to literally "ruin the game." Blake had insane athleticism and had a lot more upside. Just watching him play in college you knew that he was gonna be an All-Star. He was the clear #1 pick. To be fair the only team that struck out was the Kings. Curry's camp refused all work outs to teams other then the Kings and Knicks, His shooting was obvious but had a lot of question marks in most other departments. Also the fact Davidson didn't get a tourny bid in 09 tremendously hurt Curry's draft stock. Also if your old enough to have watched the 08 Olympics gold medal game live, you'd understand why Rubio was taken before Curry even though he refused to workout with Minnesota also.

Minnesota man, also Jrue Holiday, Ty lawson, Jeff Teague and Darren Collison were drafted in 2009 and they struck out pretty bad with Johnny Flynn, its sad what one injury can do to someone's career but the timberwolves had a ton of options as far as point guards go and they had 2 picks so it's hard to see them make the decisions they and in the end all the bad luck and misfortune went their way.

Curry does not shoot a jump shot; he gets that accuracy from using a set shot. That allows him to fire from distance by using his legs, rising as he lets go of the ball, not shooting while elevated. That also makes his release quicker. And he makes space to avoid getting the shot blocked. It also allows him to use the same shooting form from half court and beyond, something no jump shooter could emulate.

Part of the reason Curry went sixth in the NBA draft is the school he went to, Davidson, a mid major school. A lot of athletes put up great numbers in smaller schools because the competition is not as good as with Steph. Curry but cannot make the grade at the pro level where talent is much higher.

Courtney Sutherlin Outside of all the hype, what do you see in him? What’s his position in the NBA? I see a player that’s too short to be a big man and can’t shoot well enough for anything outside of a big man in today’s NBA. Outside of him being able to jump, get rebounds, clean up the rim on offense, etc ... what is he really going to do in the NBA? He’s more like CORLISS Williamson, just more athletic ... which means he can be an average to above average player, but I don’t see this “superstar” everyone else is seeing.

It's easy in hindsight to say Steph should've been the #1 overall pick, but there were a lot of questions about him coming out of Davidson. That being said, a lot of GMs and scouts also tend to fall in love with players' physical attributes and ignore things like competitive spirit and skill. Thabeet, Evans and Flynn were selected as much for their physical attributes (size/athleticism) as their actual skill.
