Sidenote: keep in mind you can also use Kuraz to rescue you from a hand brick while getting a draw off of it. i.e. I start the duel with Kuraz and pantheism, but no card to dump alongside pantheism, so I set it and play kuraz to destroy pantheism, and get the draw off of pan that I would have gotten from its effect, then use its graveyard effect to search out the field spell.

Been running monarchs since day one. I thought I made a really bad deck when i was loosing to pendulums, and the other structure decks but when I finally learned how to use the deck I set up so many lock down fields. Its def op dont know why more people rnt running them.

Because they have a tendency to brick a smidgen more than my at typical Meta decks that just ooze with consistency. You can wind up in situations where you've no Tribute Summons or perhaps the reverse but no fodder. It is still a good deck though, but you may run into consistency issues, especially when facing more folks with triple Ash Blossom and the like.

@@artemis2990 it is difficult, especially when the game allows dumb cards like skill drain at 3 and ash blossom at 3 which at plat makes me brick more than the actual brick used to construct my house. It is possible to increase consistency by removing one of the huge level monster like ether or erebus with card that allow you to draw or something along those line, but again those handtraps would be pain in the ass.

Started playing master duel with Salamangreat (first time I played yugioh seriously) and was extremely overwhelmed by all the cards/mechanics of the games. Stuck with it until I found a groove and had accesscode talker as my boss monster. Tried Monarchs cos I saw them in solo mode and remembered i had a physical card of Caius and the deck is actually really simple and fun cos it locks the opponent out of so much nonsense if you get your backrow right

Can someone explain how to use Anchamoufrite in this deck? I'm a returning player from back when Pendulums didn't exist, so just reading the card leaves me scratching my head regarding how it helps Domain Monarchs specifically.

You activate it in the pendulum scale, draw 1, then special summon it to the extra monster zone for free 😅

Anchamoufrite is the antithesis of Pendulum. It only works with decks with no other pendulums and no extra deck. But if you fulfill that, then it's a free body on the field and a free draw.

Anch is easily one of the best staple cards in the deck. Unless you currently have Vanity on the field, it's just 3 upstart goblins at no cost + tribute fodder.

Just reached platinum with domain monarchs myself. Unfortunately, I am stuck at platinum 5 due to facing nothing but drytron, eldlich, and ftk decks. I would HIGHLY suggest some changes to the ban list on master duel if they want this game to survive.

Love it! Been repping Domain Monarchs with a slightly different list but it's been great for climbing to gold. The issue with the deck know is not being able to have any sort of counterplay against handtraps (and the bricks that always seem to happen when you go first of course)

99% today are about special summon xyz etc. that’s why this deck is awesome to holds against them! I play monarch all the time but now I saw your video and the cards you added in makes it more demanding for opponent’s . I’m old school….. My last state of the game was GX after that I was out for over 7 years now I’m back! I don’t like YU GI OH how it is today but Monarch gives me back a retro feeling like in the attitude era I was playing. The Monarch King. I really like the Mithra count you have. I feel the same. I would never want to give up Edea and Eidos. I've see some decks that have gotten rid of them completely and it just seems like a bad move. I'll give the pendulum card a shot! Keep on climbing, Lithium!

Dropping the Squires will seem like less of a bad move the higher in ranked you go which is when you'll likely encounter more disruption and generally smarter players. I'd imagine this will become even worse as the game gets older and the meta in ranked becomes more understood. This is just as true irl as it is in Master Duel. Yeah you could do like Lithium and play Escalation to alleviate that but that's a band-aid solution. The problem of the Squires getting negated and potentially losing the game because of it goes away if you just get rid of them which is especially important in a Best-Of 1 format with less opportunities to recover. That said I haven't dropped them myself but cut them to one of each Squire purely for their utility.

I've just gone to 3 on Mithra, Red Layer, and the Pendulum. They're all extendable fodder so play well into disruption going first or second. Squires are only good into 0 disruptions, but if your opponent has 0 disruptions you're gonna win anyway lol

Dropping the squires entirely is in no way a bad move. Edea loses to four frequently played handtraps and really just any kind of disruption, and Eidos is pretty bad when you draw him. The recursion is nice but useless when you get OTKed after you pass you turn when your Edea is negated. Mithra is just way better.

I am curious, why is vanity considered better over majesty? Majesty gets the monarch statline and you disrupt a chunk of special summons with domain anyways?

Vanity blocks special summons also, Thats a much better floodgate range than Majesty. And majesty is searchable off of Return.

I was a long time magic player just checking out yugioh with the release of master duel. I just hit platnium with your list tonight. If I can do it, you can! Do upload more videos about the deck, and if you are taking requests, a video showing some unintuitive lines the deck can take would be great. I'm not 100% on how to use mithra or ehther optimally.

Domain Monarchs got me back into Yugioh mainly because it's a straight forward deck. I'm not fond of how the game has been adding mechanics that get almost needlessly complicated. It's strong enough, and just gets the job done these days for me. Despite some bricking, I enjoy the deck a lot and will probably main it for a long time. And while the support for this deck is pretty strong as it is, I would like to see more Monarch cards be introduced. Definitely want to see Mega Kuraz or additional support to maybe get a better handle of some existing strategies.

My biggest wishlist would be a version of Vanitys Fiend / Ruler with 1000 defense and card text that is otherwise identical to their normal counterparts with a "this card's name is always treated as vanity's fiend/ruler" to prevent you from effectively running it at 6. Considering that neither of them are special summonable, this would only open up basic searching for them and allow them to proc frostblast/spell search card. I.e. the deck would be almost identical but would be slightly less prone to bricking.

To my knowledge it has 3 modes, on, auto and off. On means it will give you the prompt to activate something whenever you can. Auto will give you the prompt in response to a play, be it your opps or yours and off means no prompt to activate a card at all. Only use thay one when you know for sure you dont need to use something

Btw, you have to look in the duel options menu and set that option to switch, as that will allow you to switch between those modes with a single R1. I am a ps4 user so that may vary between consoles, hope this helps

I notice many Monarch decks include a single copy of Majesty's Fiend. Is there some way to search for this card I'm not seeing, or why is there only one copy. I've played with it, but eventually took it out to make the deck more consistent

Both, majesty has the advantage that its a target for tenacity. Vanitys doesnt have the good stats for that.

Nice to see more Monarchs climbing that ladder, got stuck at plat 2 for the longest time. It’s the brick starts that kill you, not seeing the monarchs is a lot more harmful than not seeing the small monsters. Also there are the issues with Ash being everywhere, if they ash the right thing early on it’s a real killer. My build differs slightly, I only run one vanity and use one Lunar dragon, and a set of either DRNM or Maxx ‘C’ (which tbh usually gets called by or ashed anyway) 😂

You use it in combination with stormfourth on their turn to remove a monster they're playing with before the battle phase, or you respond to some of their single target monster removals by summoning ether, and you can use the special summon ability of Ether to pull out Kuraz on their turn who can bounce cards when special summoned by the effect.

Imo Mobius and Mega Mobius pretty good. Monarchs only real weakness if you can set your board up is back row, so the water bois are a pretty good out to that, considering they have the destruction power of at least a twin twister, and if you can proc the mega monarch mobius secondaru effect, its spell speed 4.

I definitely considered Monarch's myself. It was the first deck I got railed by (Joined around BOSH, yeah fun time to join right) Probably done a load of Monarch Propaganda on the channel when Monarch's were mentioned, but I just had to play PENDULUUUUUUUUUUMSSSSSSSSSSSSS which was very fun. Would not reccommend going the endymion route though, you're going to lose all your UR gems (Like me!) Eventually I hope they'll make it so secret packs are permanent so I can give monarch's it's time but for now, may they rest easy and good luck to you Lithium.

I use 3 ash and 2 called in my monarch deck. I can completely understand that it can me a bit bricky but, I feel that in the current meta here needing to play against negation and card advantage for your opponent is a bit more important. I'm in Plat 5 btw only using Monarchs.

I love monarchs, but the brickiness is just too much of a concern. I think that Maxx C is about as much going second protection as you should normally need in situations that monarchs are already able to win in. If I dont draw field spell or vanitys, I do some basic protection and try to Maxx C into something I can work with to get to those cards, and between stormforth and Dark Chair Boi being able to spin absolutely anything back into the deck, I think monarchs can escape most board situations that not having ash can get them in.

Platinum is not hard to reach, platinum I is the true challenge, speed through the beginning to platinum V in a heartbeat, but Ive been there ever since. Well, I got to IV, but I lost so much I got back to V. Platinum V meta - Drytron, Eldlich, Bird Up, Shaddol Invoked, thats all I see in there. I hope Konami introduces some Casual mode for the wacky and less overpowered decks and archtypes where meta is banned

I honestly think proof of pruflas is a better choice than uncamo. The fact that you can potentially tribute summon for a 3rd monarch in your turn is just great.

I dislike proof a lot, it doesnt do anything and your hoping that your opp handtraps you.. Vassals are always better than Proof, the pendulum same because of the draw 1 i feel 😅

LETS GOOOOOOOO. MONARCHS ARE SO GOOD(not lol). Also btw, the return of the monarchs suck imo, situational especially when you're not using caius. Caius is literally the best monarch ever made. Mega monarch and normal monarch. The banish ability is so strong. Also, the ability for zaborg the mega monarch to dissect your opponents extra deck is way to good. You can even kaimikaze and get rid of zaborg himself to get a guarenteed 8 cards destroyed from your opponents extra deck. Also, use 3 edeas and 3 eidos. Best small monarch in the game. I think other than that you are fine. This is based off of my own experience with playing monarchs. Really, do whatever you want. I got to gold 1 with these tips so i think its the best.
