@@colorhulu9538 I still feel comfortable with the curve pen tool as compared to the normal pen tool...when you use some tricks you can get straight lines with curve pen tool, so I don't think it is wrong or a bad thing. I've always seen professionals using the straight pen tool...but you can create pretty dope art with the curve tool itself. I post a lot of my art on instagram and I've mostly used the curve pen tool...

Grateful you made this as it helps tremendously! Q: if you made a reflect copy image, how do you connect the two so that when you fill in with colour you don't have to jaggered half filled objects? This happens for me when I have tried to connect an open structure reflect image a (like a two half circle for e.g.) and I need the entire item to act as one so it can all be filled! To answer you questions: There are many ways to solve this issue. 1) you can select all and merge the shapes with the "shape builder". 2) you can use the direct selection tool and do CMD/CTRL + J to join the paths to the middle so that it creates a closed shapes.
