1. Sonata K. 80 (Barbara Sejakova) 0:00 - A seemingly simple minuet, with some surprising twists. 2. Sonata K. 322 (Andras Schiff) 1:05 - A fairly famous sonata. This recording is at a relaxed paced, suitable for a piano student. 3. Sonata K. 415 (Robert Hill) 3:10 This quick sonata sounds harder than it is. Great for a piano learner who wants to dazzle their audience. It is played on a fortepiano, which has the raw energy of a harpsichord, and the dynamic expression of a piano. 4. Sonata K. 291 (Konstantin Scherbakov) 4:04 A lyrical sonata with a motif similar to the melody of Schubert's "Der Leiermann" 5. Sonata K. 247 (Evgeny Zarafiants) 7:15 An upbeat sonata with all the attributes you'd expect from Scarlatti. A piano student would probably play it slower than this recording presents.

Have you heard Leo Brouwer's transcriptions of the Scarlatti sonatas? I have a huge soft spot for him and everything he's done; I highly recommend his recordings as well as his music. I enjoyed your selection of recordings, btw!
