Watching you made me go ice gauntlet and rapier and it's something that really surprises people the first couple of times they fight it. Once they get used to dodging the riposte (as in trigger it then dodge instantly) then its not at good but before then I'm killing you in a few seconds after a riposte. I went intel to 200+ and now con for survivability.

In my experience with the rapier, I found it easier to light attack first then change direction on target when doing the backstab fleche combo

I find the grace tree to be VERY good in dungeons for the fact that you should be behind the mobs facing the tank hitting backstabs. I'm constantly hitting the evade forward to proc the fast, boosted light attack and with the 5% cd reduction on crits, you're evade attacking almost non-stop. It was nuts how fast we burned down Thorpe.

Good guide my man love the rapier too! ^^ secret tips : you get the full benefit from the evade invulnerability when you choose the opposite direction from the hit comes from, ex: evade to the left when the hit comes from your left side = 100 % invulnerability, there's an analogy with a boxer, you have to dive (evade) in the direction the hit comes from, to avoid it properly, that's why sometimes rapier users still get hitted when they used this skill, bcs they use it in the "wrong" direction comparing to the hit direction ;)

Great to hear!! I'm so glad you love the content!! If you plan on doing allot of melee combat I would most likely recommend full medium armor, but if you have a musket and rapier, or bow/rapier, I would recommend light.(Medium chest, light rest)

If you are using rapier/musket I would highly rec Light armor for the extra damage/ mobility. Bow you can use either medium or heavy, based on your preference. But if you are double melee I would suggest heavy armor for sure.

I've been thinking of using a musket one shot build using dexterity and Int and boosting all on the first shot/head shot. And I wanted to try using my second weapon as a weapon to cc back off and use the musket. Right now I'm using spear to set it up, what do you think ?

Yeah there is SO much to test once I hit 60 haha! That last int perk is crazy, as well as that last perk on dex!

@@TheComebackKids It might be a little disappointing. When you dodge roll it triggers even if you don't use it, so you can't time it properly. It has that 10second cooldown that happens afterwards, even without shooting/attacking :( I've reported it, hope they fix it because it kind of messes with the timing and talent in using the thing properly.

Yes because the scaling from the INT would HEAVILY outweigh the base damage of thrusts from the rapier

press Q (evade) hold D and press forward, keep pressing Q and D and forward, and use light attacks. After each evade, it locks on the target, and will automaticly turn around the char, until you are on the back. When you have Twarting Counter, you HP Bar get white and a white circle around you show up. In this time your almost invul. When target is dead, check if a another target is close, and it automaticly swaps to each target until they are dead ;)

Ones you have that going with evade, evade will reset so fast, so you can keep doing it, and other players have a really difficult time hitting you because you are hitting them in 1 secs, auto move a few steps around them hit again, move, hit , move , hit move. Watch out that alot of hammers players can still stun/cc you. Time your attack right. I can invil like 2 hammer players at a time with rapier, but when i get a full group (like 4 or 5 hammer playeres), they do all stun after each other, so you are perma stunned. Even getting out with Fleche is difficult in new update.

Think im better to keep leveling like that and then change at 60 to rapier and musket. i tried the musket out to change from Bow. but for pve my bow seems to do so so so much more damage. But for pvp im thinking musket rapier will be better. what do you think.

Hey Mark, honestly this is kind of a tough question. On one hand I am super Biased towards rapier/musket, but on the other hand I think most people should just play what they are comfortable with when it comes to PvP. More reps with a particular build means muscle memory will come in to place and you will panic less in duels. I would say give the switch a shot, but if you are more comfortable with bow/hatchet, then stick with what you know!

Love the vid is it possible to talk about armor combos. I assume it’s light but wouldnt medium be better for fights that aren’t just 1v1 like a group or even to the extreme Wars.

We prefer having light armor on during large group fights, since you are going to have ALLOT more time to sit back and shoot away. The 10% dmg is huge in that scenario

Hey can you do or have you done a musket video? I want to use it over the bow but its so slow. I often get stuck in reload and can't even swap to the rapier, which is basically instant death

@@LtLongle They take longer sometimes because you could be out of stamina, and to get rid of the animation you can swap to another weapon or roll until you have lock n load procs

@@TheComebackKids ahhh the stamina i bet thats it. And i swear sometimes i try to swap to cancel the animation is simply won't allow me to. I wonder if thats a no stamina issue as well

I am using rapier/spear combo. In this video, you recommend switching out Fleche for Tondo to maximize bleed stacking. Can you expand on what this build looks like? I am too reliant on Fleche for several reasons, so I want to understand the trade offs and if they are worth it.

you basically just chose all the bleed on hit passives and put bleed gems in both your weapons.
