Buying this game at launch simply showed how ignorant you are to the dynamic present in the AAA gaming space. That's not trying to be a heavy judgment. This game had all the markings of an incoming disaster. Messy development process, terrible game company, beta was a mess, character design was looking atrocious, the ESG/DEI environment, it simply looked weak, and of course, Blizzards downward spiraling reputation on every level. I grew up with Blizzard since Warcraft 1 (or if you wanna go deeper, Lost Vikings). They fell with Diablo 3 and then what Overwatch turned into was the next level down for them.

I think its important to factor that class specs like fire mage and arcane are difficult to play and will likely not be fun for the majority of players regardless of how good it is. Look at fire mage now in live retail. Its a completely viable spec but it has among the lowest class population among all meta classes by a significant margin because you need to be playing at 500% the capacity of the average BM hunter to output the same DPS. I recommend to anyone trying to choose what class they should play to make sure the one they choose is within their scope or you risk a lot of frustration and disappointment.

I usually try and play one of each armor type per expansion and then mess around with the rest in the final Phase. With so many amazing choices this time around, it's turning out to be one Hell of a decision. So I have a free level 60 boost in retail rn. What should I play? I am a classic/sod gamer and don't want any rotations more complex than wrath of the lich king stuff. I also dont want to tank or heal

I don't play Retail but I'm going to be getting The War Within to restart my journey that I left behind at the beginning of Shadowlands and this video has me soo hyped , all of the classes look amazingly fun and I have no idea what I'm going to end up picking lol will probably end up with a bunch of alts 😅

Wild how much of a good decision it is for you to make retail content right now instead of waiting for sod content. Big ups honestly, as a mage main through and through since wrath back in the day, somewhat more excited for tww than sod it seems. Def not happy to say that but I guess I’ll take a win when I can.
