LG TV's do not have google assistant. Only Android TV and Google TV have Android assistant. You can buy a streaming device like the Nvidia shield or Xiaomi's MiBox to enjoy Android TV

Dominic, I managed to change country code and most things work, such as ITV player, channel 4 etc however BBC iPlayer works slightly, meaning I can launch the player and see the menu but when I choose a programme to watch, it does not play. I thought it may be due to the VPN but if I watch on another device, computer, Apple TV they work fine without any issues. All devices are connected to the same network so I’m at a bit of a loss. Any thoughts on this??? The tv that’s not working correctly is the LG C1
