Dominion Cards 093 - Black Market

I like to make up my own custom cards to play around and have fun breaking the rules xD Once I made withought even knowing that Promo and Black market existed, a card that reads: "Place 2 cards from your hand to the top of your deck. If you did so, your action phase ends and this turn you are able to buy a card from the "box" (all other kingdom cards that are not in the supply)" This card is an Action and costs 3. It lets you buy anything you want, but since you put 2 cards back to the top of your deck, it is hard at the start of the game to buy something really good from the "box". But once you build your engine you can buy interesting stuff. I like to play around with this with many expansions... I know its broken, but it is so broken that there are tons of ways to break it - thus making it fun and interesting watching people find amazing ways to take advantage and break the game with it! :D

This is easily my favourite Dominion card (in terms of fun, not power). As well as excluding cards from the BM deck that affect the supply (unless there are cards in the kingdom that affect the supply in the same way), I've also taken to excluding any cards that have multi or split piles, don''t work properly on their own (e.g. Fool's Gold, travellers) or have other funny rules like Port/Experiment/Peddler.

Great job! I like black market as it forces players to make interesting decisions about what card would be best for their deck. It can feel very tilting and a luck fest but overall it's a good influence

A friend really like black market, but I'm not a big fan. Any setup with BM diminishes the overall effect of the kingdom, it kind of makes the other cards (or lack thereof) not matter as much - because players will be gambling on getting either better cards or stuff that's missing in the current setup (IE: trashing). So you might as well have a random kingdom if your putting in BM

Poor Harvest… if it can’t get a shoutout in the “Variety” section of the Black Market video, it will probably never get one.
