36-year veteran court reporter here. Seating a jury in a case of this magnitude in a half a day is an incredible feat! This judge means business! I always tell people I can't comment on a case if I haven't actually sat through it. I wish there was at least audio. Good luck to those court reporters! They have their work cut out for them.

Dominion shouldn’t settle in this case. It’s hard to prove defamation in court, as it should be, but Fox had no business peddling disinformation & propaganda that they knew to be false to a radicalized audience for power & greed. The preponderance of evidence looks as if Fox did know they were spreading falsehoods & had a willful disregard for the truth, and now they should pay dearly for it. The judge has already ruled that Fox knew it was all false, so the jury doesn’t have to decide weather Fox knew what they were airing was a lie, they did. Now the jury decides how much damages/money Fox will have to pay. Fox has about 500 million cash on hand, and that’s not enough for the 1.6 billion Dominion is asking for. Plus the jury will also decide punitive damages that could be so exorbitant it puts Fox out of business. I hope this puts Fox off the air, for a couple of reasons, 1) they are radicalizing millions of Americans with misinformation, disinformation, malinformation ,and that includes our military. It’s played on military bases all over the world 24/7. 2) They spread fear & hate. Fox losing, paying a heavy penalty, and disbanding, will stand as a warning to all far-right extremist propaganda channels that call themselves news. They are not news, Fox too is not news, they’re listed on cable lineups as an entertainment channel, NOT media news.

Geez! When you google 'Dominion' it's amazing how many companies come up with that name. So are they subsidiaries? None really differentiate except in description for the kind of business they do.
