This is one of the sickest songs of the year. Dirty Projectors invented something very interesting. The melding of oriental/indian/african/american music is something real special. Love the album.

If this song is indicative of Dirty Projectors then they deserve a deeper look. I love this song. The guitar(?) has a haunting refrain and the female singers are soulful and sexy. There is good music out there; like this, unfortunately it rarely if ever makes it to mainstream-corporate radio.

This song is AMAZING. It has been my favorite song of the year since I heard it like last January or whenever it was featured on Pitchfork. Such strong and unusual vocals. Amber's voice is mesmerizing through the whole thing but really gives you chills at 2:54 and then at 3:22. Cool vid for what they had to work with, I'm glad their label decided to make one. It is kinda low budget though, she does trip and the lama tries to escape. Unusual outfits, they are full throttle hipsters.

This is, I think, the first song by Dirty Projectors that I came across. I want to say about 3 years ago. I don't even recall how I found it. I think I was just listening to anything I hadn't heard before that I saw here on KZbin. This song is so strange and entrancing to me. With its unusual guitar part and the bouncing, layered vocals. The lyrics hit something pretty personal on a deep level too. This whole questioning one's direction in life let alone why we exist as we do. What is all this chance and seeming chaos? Yet we are each a specific, human person with a given name, living in a certain place at a certain time. Why not another existence, even just as another human with a different life? What does it mean? Does it mean anything? Then this encouragement of "there is nothing we can't do." Along with the uplifting, wordless harmonies. I love this song. It had an effect on me. Even if I'm not fully certain what that effect is. Thank you Dirty Projectors for making it. It's the importance of art, to me. That it has an impact and stirs indescribable emotions. It accomplished that.
