Missing the fact that the spear can destroy medium automaton production facilities thinning out like 75% of the base pop out the gate from a long range. But I agree it’s lock on sucks and is needing tweaking

Why do you say the Orbital Airburst is so powerful because it can kill every small enemy, but the Eagle Cluster Bomb doesn't get the same praise? The cluster strike kills all small bugs, can call in 4-5 times, and rearms in 2-3 minutes. The small bugs are what make chargers, and bile titans dangerous because on their own they are simple to kill/avoid.

Don't sleep on the disposable anti-tank rocket. They send two, short cooldown timer, it's a bullet from space you can use to kill stuff or smash bug holes/automaton factories, and you don't use them to kill chargers. You use them to bust the armour off the leg of the charger, at which point you empty half a mag of breaker into said leg. Orbital gas strike is quick too, and having a quick cooldown on an orbital bullet can help when you got no grenades.

i got your point, but passing difficulty 5/6 some weapons are just unplayable, lasers won't melt armors and overheats verry quickly, some primaries are very underwelming (i mean some hard to get variants of primaries costing more than 50 medals are even worse than their "vanilla" counterparts) and it's just not fun because you are hard stuck playing the same things to be able to even survive a bit or play at all, i hope arrowhead will buff some so we can play with a bit of everything at higher difficulties and have actual real fun with a fair bit of challenge at the same time.

After throwing his stratagems, he's usually throwing another one to revive us. He has improved his warnings by saying what he's throwing. "Hey I'm throwing a 380 stratgem" after he throws it while we are STILL IN THE OUTPOST!

@@NoNonSense117 I normally only throw them at an outpost we haven't been to yet.. it's normally when I'm destroying a bot fabricator and I see that there are a nice chunk of enemies there so that I can't just run in and grenade it with only a few bullets.. but I always double check where my squad is before I throw it.. if one of them is moving towards it I opt for something else.. now what IS fun is when you are trying to throw something midbattle and something hits you and knocks your character over and it falls right next to you.. lol for those moments I am just like "Hey guys........... I'm sorry." then mute my mic for a moment to build suspense..

For those wondering the recoilless rifle and spear reload in steps. You can do one or 2 steps, swap weapons to defend yourself or dodge, then complete the last step to finish reloading. Interuptions don't fully reset reloading. This also applies to the HMG.

That's basically all weapons, actually. For normal weapons, the first step is removing the old mag. Step 2 is inserting the new one. You can throw out your mag, call a stratagem, then go back to reloading for a quicker action

For the expendable anti tank rocket, it’s not about killing chargers or armored units. It’s about instantly taking away armor from a limb to drop the enemy quickly with just your regular ammo. Not only that, but it only has a minute refresh time, unless you’re doing the higher difficulties you’re gonna find you can’t use these fast enough. And on the higher difficulties they come back so fast you only have to kite for a short time before you get them right back, and it would be one thing if it was one rocket, but you get two.

@@seangallagher9435 You def want to look up guides when you hit Suicide or higher difficulties. The amount of mobs that spawn at every objective and thats not including patrols groups that walks all over the map engaging into your combat area combining with the squads of mobs you are currently fight off. These suggested stratagems would help your team out if people used them when needed. Or else you will struggle like crazy on these higher tier of difficulties. There is a reason why they have missions for every difficulties to give players option to pick and choose their gameplay styles. This guide is def for harder tier difficulty levels and not the low tier ones which you can play and use anything you want.

One thing with the EAT. Yes, it takes 3 shots to kill a charger, but only one to strip the armor off it's legs, so you can actually kill two chargers with each EAT call-down and with it's cooldown only being 70 seconds you get can have these ready quite frequently.

If you're able to get a drop on chargers, EAT is great. But if 2 or 3 comes out of a bug breach and comes charging at you, you would need something you could use on the fly. For that, I prefer either a recoilless rifle or rail gun.

For a solo, the Spear actually looks decent. Large superheavies in bot territory can just lock you down if you get into a firefight and they aggro on you. Being able to snipe them from a distance is a HUGE advantage before storming a fabricator cluster or objective.

Spear works super well against the bots, it can even 1 shot titans down if the rocket collides with their head for the perfect shot. At most its taken 3 to bring down a bile since there are times it can miss the sweet spot

With the shield generator pack, you can even survive being dragged on the ground by a charger. You can survive the acid hits by bile spewers. Without a shield, it's pretty much a one hit kill for you.

Don't sleep on the jump pack! If you are not using a backpack support weapon, definitely give it a try, it has saved my life so many times. It's also great for climbing up some rock formation to take shortcuts to objectives.

Some extraction points have structures you can climb with it. Wich can give you a great vantage point to shoot bugs or to place a turret. It might not be ideal for bots though since they can shoot you.

I think something really important to note about napalm and the gas: You don't rely on it to outright kill everything, especially heavier things, but it does *soften them up* quite substantially. Anything that walks out of the gas or fire is much easier to kill. Furthermore, they persist longer. So the standard eagle strike may kill everything that first comes out of a bug breach, napalm or gas will inflict heavy damage on several waves as they emerge. I'm not suggesting that the napalm and gas are better than the standard eagle strike, but that they don't serve the same role; persistent effects that can damage multiple waves vs a once-off high damage attack. E: and the cluster is more wide area smaller horde killing tool with a lot of charges. (Works better on bots than bugs.)

When using the expendable anti-tank (EAT) against chargers, you need to fire it at the armor plates on their front legs. If you blow off one of the armor plates, they take huge damage multipliers from the flesh inside. One EAT and a mag of normal weapon ammo from the breaker or the diligence or what have you is enough to kill a charger and you get two. Its still not as good as the railgun but before you get the railgun its a legitimately decent buy. Especially if you're comfortable exploring on your own, because there will be random support weapons scattered around the map and you can just shoot your EATs off quickly and then go explore to find another support weapon to use, occasionally dropping more EATs down whenever you see some heavies in the distance.

Imo it's one of the best stratagems even late. You can use it with another support weapon as a drop for when you walk up on 3 bile titans getting busy in a hive. 70s cool down(base, better upgraded) means it's available more than once in a big fight. Saw someone running it with spear and holy crap that dude demolished all heavy armor coming at us. I stopped watching the video when he said it takes 3 to kill a charger and then proceeded to shoot the charger in the face instead of the leg. Not just that, but it's literally the best support weapon for getting up the difficulty ladder as a noob because otherwise if everyone is low level chargers are so time consuming that everything else kills you while you're diving around them. So yeah people aim for the legs on chargers. With the rail gun too. 2 shots with railgun, 1 with EAT removes the armor. I legitimately think about bringing it on every suicide mission bc we already have 2 railguns minimum

On the bare leg of the charger it takes only 4-5 shots from a breaker. I ran EAT and breaker a lot and chargers were only an issue if there were more than two at the same time.

I haven't watched the video, but just from the title I want to say something to every new player here: Unlock and use whatever the hell you want. Try out different things, see what you like, test them all out. Don't necessarily follow the meta right away, you want to have your fun exploring the game before you tryhard. I have 50 hours in the game now and the novilty of it is pretty much over, I use the same loadout every game because the high difficulty kind of forces it. I'm so thankful I started this game blind and tried out the things I found fun before I had to use the meta loadouts

The Arc Thrower is actually really good, IMO. Auto-aim, infinite ammo multikills with deceptively long range. It even ignores armor of Hive Guards completely, only needing ~2 charges to kill them or decapitate a Brood Commander, needing ~4 for Bile Spewers (shorter time than it sounds) (that kill other smaller bugs around it at the same time!). Not to mention that it can even kill Chargers and Bile Titans through their armor (with patience that is - it isnt fast at it) It's actually really great, especially paired with Jump Pack and Dominator. You can avoid teamkilling very easy with the Arc Thrower, too. If you take the Lazer Guard Dog, the Arc Thrower, the Gas Strike, and the Cluster Bomb, you become an infinite ammo crowd control monster who can never stop fighting!

My friend and I will run two arc throwers and we can easily stop a charger on its first charge if we focus fire it. I’ve also noticed that if you use the arc thrower on the bile titan when your teams anti-tank cooldowns haven’t refreshed yet, it’ll blow up the sides of the armor to expose a weak point.

It is actually trash, you can aim at a group of enemies and it will just miss and do no damage, putting you in a lot of danger. It will also arc behind you or meters away to kill your teammates while ignoring enemies in front of you. It is the worst weapon by far.

It basically triples the effective radius of the area where you can land your pod, and makes the response to adjustments much faster - Very useful for sniping heavy enemies, or for not landing in terrible spots when your teammates throw the call-in beacon randomly.

The shield relay should definitely recharge just like the backpack does, and if multiple teammates throw one down next to each other. They should be able to boost themselves into a stronger shield. Possibly with 4 being placed and it becomes almost impossible for smaller enemy ammunitions to take down.

3:20 That's your stim count not your ammo count. The scythe and laser cannon have some good synergy, but you need some teamwork. You can go entire matches without needing to resupply while near constant shooting (unlikely on hot worlds). You simply fire 90% of your ammo in the power cell for the laser cannon then swap to your scythe and do the same. Swap back and repeat. This is good for people using weapons like the scorcher or other high ammo consumption weapons. Also remember that you can pick up a laser cannon off the ground that hasn't been used to reset the heat as well. Definitely worth trying out early on and even up to t7. I haven't tested it too much above that since the breaker is just too good.

They cycle through the super credit shop. Right now, there's a light that give 30% on crouch recoil and 50% on explosive resistance if I'm remembering correctly. Im holding out for the light +2 grenades though if it exists. And No, you don't need to pay for ANY super credits. I haven't seen this in any video but if you're wanting easy credits and samples go do bugs on trivial setting (with 2 players if possible for the 2 man doors) and just run around and collect everything you can. I did 2 runs doing that just so I could mess with settings and I got 25 samples and 200 super credits and I did that solo missing 4 of the 2 man doors.

I would like to clear some stuff up for the uninformed. The tesla tower says in its description if you stay proned it won't attack you, very useful for holding a point or extracting. I also want to clear up that the tesla gun is the best weapon in the game, it can strip armor and does a base damage to anything it hits. It one shots most mobs, can two shot the head off brood comanders, can strip the armor from the side of a charger in 3-4 hits, can do the same to a bile titan, and can if lucky, one shot a bile titan when they go to puke on you. The arc gun can also be quick fired, it doesn't need to be fully charged to get a shot off, and can chain to two other enemies, wiping out squads like nothing. It also shreds bots, even killing tanks in less then ten shots. All in all the arc gun is highly underrated and misused, I straight carry my squad with it.

@@Myder_Dragon It's very much not trash. It can clear massive waves and lock down positions to easily defend whilst allowing you to worry on bigger more heavily armored targets. Me and a group of friends coordinate our towers and can pretty much finish a Evacuation mission in about 5 minutes with 50 guys then we just run and collect stuff around the map with the spare time.

@@Myder_Dragon nah even solo it's pretty effective so long as people don't walk into it you should be good to hold down a choke area with it solo for a good chunk of time (lasts like 2-5 mins). you can effectively lock the area down if you bring Anti armor things too for things like chargers or Bile titans. it'll kill all the small stuff and you can focus on the big things or anything that gets past it. it's superb for defensive but ya offensive your better having the autocannon or a orbital.

The HMG emplacement is one of the best turret-style stratagems: -It is a mounted turret, so you control it. -The armor pen on this absolutely sheds all of the bots, even hulks, the only thing it cant kill on the bot side are the tanks and towers. -For bugs it is not as good, the chargers and titans are unaffected by the armor pen, and the swarm can quickly surround you. However, there are some tricks that can be used that still make it viable against bugs. (more on that later) -The HMG will never time out, it only disappears when the ammo is out or it is destroyed. -Placement is key. Using the HMG, I have learned certain surfaces cause stratagem drops to bounce. This is really annoying, but it teaches you which surfaces are "safe" to drop on. Most mountains, for example, are not safe to drop stratagems, they will bounce. However, some mountains are safe. (more on this later) Mounted HMG tactics: -On most missions where the leader drops you onto extraction at start, you can drop an HMG at the extraction and simply leave it, when you return to extraction at the end of the mission your HMG will be waiting for you. You can now drop another HMG for an ally to mount, or for when your first one is empty. With good placement, two of these mounted turrets can easily defend the extraction against the bots. -When fighting bugs, once you learn which surfaces are "safe" and do not bounce your stratagem, you can take a jetpack and HMG. Climbing mountains with the jetpack and dropping a mountable HMG turret at the edge allows you to shoot down at the horde from the safety of a mountain. It also puts you eye level with bile titans. If you can get head shots on a bile titan it will die with the use of 2/3 of the HMG mag. Its not ideal, but it sure is satisfying. Ideally, your team will take care of the titans while you are on the HMG. -Throwing landmines in front of your HMG at a close, but safe, distance can provide a nice defensive barrier, keeping the swarm at bay should they get too close. Both the HMG and land mines share a 180 second cool down. You can shoot mines to damage targets when they are near, ideally mines they would not step into on their own. Landmine Tactics: -I like to use landmines with orbital ordinance and eagle strikes to create enhanced explosions. The idea is simple, once the mines are down, you drop anything onto the minefield that will detonate it, creating the enhanced explosion. -Using the HMG emplacement more, when fighting the bots I have found the tanks and the towers can be destroyed very quickly by shooting their weak spot (the glowing area at the back of the cannon), only takes about 3 to 5 seconds of constant fire. The only trouble is getting the tank/tower to not look at you. My buddy distracted 4 tanks on difficulty 9 and I destroyed all the tanks by dropping an HGM and shooting the weak spot. -I have also implemented smoke grenades to make smoke screens for the HMG emplacement, and for motor turrets. This helps when you drop it in an open area and need some extra cover. If the smoke covers it, the enemies cannot see it immediately, this applies to the bugs as well. But be careful, I don't think the auto turrets can see through the smoke either. So just place the smoke screen tactically. With the HMG and smoke, I usually place the smoke behind me to prevent being flanked, while still having a clear line of fire on my targets. When throwing smoke grenades, I like to use at least 2 or 3, so I will wear armor that provides +2 grenades for this build, and take the resupply pack.

Things I learned today: three auto cannon shots in the underside of a charger’s tail (which they expose briefly just when they finish their charge) is enough to break the tail and make it bleed out. Also, shooting the front leg with the recoilless will shatter the armour, and then it’s easy to put down with your primary weapon. It makes it WAY more viable to run if you haven’t unlocked the auto cannon yet, even without a friend helping you reload

The arc thrower can put out insane numbers. Try this setup Guard rover, arc thrower, rail cannon. Something for chargers, And you can easily drop over 500 kills. Against the bugs. I just use railgun on bots so I don’t know if it preforms over there.

The arc thrower is definitely good for mid/long range as long as you dont get swarmed you can just casually clear whole bug breaches because they 1-2 shot most bugs

Arc Thrower is incredible for solo wandering, it can quickly kill waves of enemies and any bug in the game, be it charger or bile titan (for bile tho its better to hit it with something big like orbital raingun first) with Rover bugs in point-blank range shouldn't be a problem

Grenade launcher is the best all rounder for mobbing IMO. One grenade one shots the AT-ST/chicken walkers most times and if two are next to each other will one shot both. It lets you frag factories and nests at range (aim for the open factory doors when bots pop out btw). It rules for trash mobs that are packed tight and has good range to boot. I've not tried it yet but I've watched people use the autocannon to 2-3 shot charger legs. And I think the first shotgun you unlock doesn't get enough love. It works vs spitters just as well as the slugger in my experience, requiring about the same amount of shots to the fact. It's slower than the semiauto, sure but you get a big mag and it doesn't discard rounds on a reload like a weapon with a box mag does.....which can be clutch. You can hit things at medium to medium/long distance and still take out most weaker mobs though at longer ranges the spread means you have to expend extra shots but for small mobs this isn't so bad. The launcher and base shotty are carrying me through until I unlock further items.

I will say when referring to the Arc Thrower on short range, you need to actually HIT them which in your clip you didn't at all. If it hits the ground it grounds and doesn't bounce between enemies. That was user issue in your clip

Don't sleep on the Arc Thrower. It is a beast at mid range. For one, you don't have to full charge it to fire, you can fire it off at only 50% to put shots down range significantly faster. It will normally find a target to hit on it's own if they are at mid range however if something is right up in your face you have to aim directly at the target to hit them, though it's usually better to just melee stun the target and back up to get a better shot. As for friendly fire, just don't fire it if a friendly is ever in front of you, just like you wouldn't want to stand in front of a turret, don't stand in front of an arc thrower.

For new players I recommend the following Supply pack with grenade launcher anti swarm and bug base, kills up to chargers. Supply pack, MG43 & reduced recoil armour, shreds up to chargers at range or close up. It’s surprising still at high level how many players ignore small mobs, but generally these are the guys you can’t dodge and get you killed. Orbital air burst great for area control/crown control but watch your teammates position. It will also sometimes chip chargers armour. To make them vulnerable to small arms fire. Eagle air strike, good for base killing and area control. Machine gun turret and Gatling gun turret for swarms up to chargers but throw them far away and lead mobs into them so they don’t get swarmed. Auto-cannon turret , set from distance, this stratagem dominates the battlefield and obliterated all units if you use it right. Defend it with a mcg of GG turret which you would lay down first. Autocannon / Recoilless rifle. Great support but unless your team has anti swarm covered this isn’t a priority. Autocannon in particular is very useful, you can one shot bug bases with it and it will kill most medium armoured mob in 1-2 shots. Also kills chargers if you shout their bums or stripped armour spots with a few hits. To kill chargers, think like a bullfighter. Let them charge you, move (not dive) to the side and turn to shoot their orange pink bums, rinse and repeat. For requisitions, take all weapons and mods but aim for the breaker shotgun, grab the scythe for missions where you think you may run out of ammo and time. . Grab all the team buffs

When the devs eventually come around to balance things, I hope they focus on buffing the weaker weapons and allowing them to be used at higher levels, rather than nerfing the stronger ones and making the game unenjoyable to play. If something is so bad that you question to yourself, "Why even use this?" then it probably shouldn't even be in the game. Everything should have a purpose and it's for every player to try to figure out what that purpose is. I love Helldivers 2 and I want to see it become a good game that encourages experimentation rather than one that punishes players for not using what everybody considers "meta."

The arc thrower has been really reliable for me, it can deal with almost all the bugs even the bile titan the only thing it struggles on is the charger, it will kill them but it take way longer than the railgun does but other than that it kill every bug with ease. I use it like a mobs clearer that can kill a Bile Titan faster than it kill a charger. I haven’t tried it on the bots yet so I don’t know on that front. Oh and when the enemies is up close to you just switch to 1st person and it will hit every time at whatever you are aiming at

The Eagle Cluster bomb is far better than the orbital airburst strike. Fully upgraded you have 5 payloads per reload and only 7.5 seconds of downtime inbetween callins. You can apply them individualy and you don´t have to throw them all into one single area. Not only that but the Eagle strikes are also not affected by orbital scattering debuffs and the whole thing takes just 2 Minutes to fully reload.

Facts, I always have a cluster strike on, me and most people i play with are rarely killed by the giant slow easy to avoid enemies, its always the hunters and small swarms, the cluster bomb is easy to spam and clears all of the small enemies with no issue

I think folks have big misconceptions about helldive difficulty.. cluster is very good early game, but do not underestimate the ability to destroy structures and armor.. after getting all hangar module upgrades having 3 airstrikes on short cooldown is plenty... thing is, on higher difficulties is not just the fact armored enemies become common but also the sheer number they spawn at the same time... try killing 3-4 chargers while being chased by 3 brood commanders which can and WILL charge just like the chargers... you play w/ whatever you feel like, no issue there, but utility/usefulness/efficacy wise airstrikes are objectively better than cluster eagles specially on heldive difficulty...

Not knowing how to use a stratagem is not a good reason to write it off. The arc thrower is *very* efficient at two things: hordes and bots. A little known fact is that the arc actually stuns every bot up to a hulk, and does this to every target it hits. With the gun needing no ammo, it's very easy to stun lock targets, allowing a teammate to get to their weak spots. And as for friendly fire, use common sense. Don't fire at enemies when a teammate is near them, or stands between you and your target. Remember, you still have a primary.

A note about expendable anti-tank and charger. Shootting a leg will strip it's armor allowing you to shoot the leg with any weapon and killing it very quickly.

I love the Arc thrower its great agains highly armoured targets like hulks and chargers and bile titans, and not in the way you think. the reason i love it is that it will always damage highly armoured targets, it ignores all armour values, it will take a age to take down a titan or a hulk but it comes with one great bonus. It stagers hulks since you are damaging them and biletitans can be interupped when they try to spit at you since you are damaging them. I love it its best used with your team behind you or as a rear guard for when you get attacked by enemies from the rear, in short keep your friends away from you don;t try to cover them with this weapon it will kill them immidiately since the last target in the chain recieves the most damage.

The guard rover is absolutely insane. I bring it for most of my missions and it does so much work. I completely agree, it doubles my kill counter. This, combined to the new quasar cannon for heavies, and good strategem usage, can effectively allow you to solo fight off 5+ difficulty bug missions easily. I wouldn't recommend this over the shield generator backpack against bots though. Good video, keep the quality content up :)

My go to loudout in high end games from suicide mission to helldiver are the 1- orbital railcannon 2-Eagle cluster bombs 3-Backpack sheild 4-railgun Primary weapon is the breaker/scorcher. Secondry i use the auto pistol, i forgot the name. So basically for the eagle stratagem i use to clear all the small targets anything above chargers it wont kill. But the rest it can wipe them all out. The rail cannon is to one shot chargers. Sometimes i Don’t use it if there is one or two. I mainly use it only chargers. The big titans are easier to deal with but dangerous when you are close to them. For the backpack shield its very helpful when the swarm all attack you and sometimes they keep jumping at you.

A thing to note. For Hulks you can actually snipe out the eye on the front using the auto cannon. A few well placed shots and they go down relatively fast allowing my team mates with the Recoiless to go for the Tanks (on automaton worlds)

Couple things about the arc thrower: 1. You can spam shots with it. After the first shot, you only need to charge it to something about 70-80% and not to full. 2. Don't use it in close range, run a shotgun as a backup. 3. The arc chains to anything behind the initial target, so don't shoot if your teammate is there. 4. It can strip armor and it does target individual body parts. 4-6 shots will strip a chargers leg. 2 shots to cut off a brood commanders head. 5. Never use it against Automatons. This baby has infinite ammo, frequently hits multiple target with one shot, strips armor, has 30-40 meters of range and let's you use a backpack. It 100% is a sleeper pick for bugs.

Expendable AT is nice because you can destroy the armor off charger legs and shoot them with your primary. And you can call one down nearly every minuite, while running and gunning. No stopping to reload

The anti material rifle may be something that is slept on a lot for the robot planet as it can oneshot up to the hulk (including the hulk) with well aimed shots and being cheap with a lot of ammo. You may call it a discount railgun if you will. The recoilles may work well against hulks and chargers, but the issue with it seems to be that a group of hulks or chargers will end you very fast as you do not have the capacity to kill them fast enough on top of missing options to take out a lot of armour fast. Probably the better idea for insects, even though you have one less ability, is taking the grenade launcher and the disposable anti tank guns and two other abilities, as long as there is no ability unlocked which can just nuke a charger or something as the grenade launcher can work absolute magic, deleting 10 enemies in a hit and just being able to deal insane amounts of splash damage to smaller armoured stuff, taking 3 grenades sometimes, the disposable anti tank will cover the missing anti heavy armour department. Also good for beginners that combo, as it will cover anything you will see in the lower difficulties (3-4). But again, the anti material rifle is slept on I believe.

I use the Arc thrower on nearly every bug mission. Headshots on chargers, if I can dodge right, I can drop one in 4-8 hits. I've also noticed that knocking the Charger on the head makes it's charging attack slower and in a straight line, where it doesn't pivot into your dive--meaning heightened survival rate while your popping off shots. The additional arcs, from my experience, only happen IF the target you hit is dies. The inaccuracy I've found is with the terrain. In sort, don't shoot over a hill, it will hit the ground or other dead bodies, seek a higher ground. Also, make sure you are the speer tip and take out the smaller targets first to avoid getting swarmed, maximizing the weapon use and not hitting allies.

You will have all the stratagems very quickly. You have a cap on requisition slips (referred to here as money) at 50,000 so spend them. A quasar canon is infinate and can kill a charger in one head shot. The Anti material rifle will two shot a hulk in the eye. I dont feel like this guy has a better grasp than anyone else in this game. Rail canon orbital is great but it does not one shot everything, at least not anymore.

I actually find the arc thrower to be extremely good agaisnt the bugs, i can hold off a breach alone with it as you do not need to fully charge it after a couple shots of full charge. Making you shoot 2 arc every second instead of 1, and it seems to do deal same amount of damage. It really good against chargers also and you can strip armor off with it, the biggest draw back is that its ineffective at close range and that you need to make sure none of your teammates are in the arcs pathway. I do this by positioning myself infront of my teammates, having them clear the ones close to me while i deal with the big breach/bug

the expendable anti-tanks short cooldown combined with proper use (you missed the armored leg in the clip) it makes quick work of heavies. I hit the chargers leg then finish it with less than 1 full mag of my secondary.

The Recoiless is the only way to go until you get the rail. The trick is to have two people on a team w/ it. That way you can do the quick reloading if you're able but you can also be split up and still hammer armored units w/ rockets.

Ive joined a game where two from my squad are using spears, it is an automaton extermination and they basically cheesed the game destroying the dropships before it unloads. I also played duo with a Spear user with my MG on an extreme difficulty, but we complement each other very well on every situation on automation map. So when you see a spearer thank them for their supporrt as they also thank me when I mow down light to medium enemies with my MG.

I personally hate the laser drone. Mostly because so many times when going with randoms, there's three of them rocking the laser and MAN if there's multiple angles of attack from hostiles, those lasers totalyl gonna sweep around and hit friendlies.

Tesla tower is fine you just have to toss it far away from you. One of my friends uses it to cover our retreats and it works well

Couldnt make it a full min before i had to comment... this really isnt a game that needs micro managing of your weapons, use what you like, dont worry about what to unlock as you will unlock it all pretty quickly, and if you die dont worry I'll call for reinforcements!

The anti tank rocket can one tap a charger if you hit it in the face when it’s running at you. One of my favorite because you can call it in almost once every minute and use it to crush enemies as well

18:56 New player here, can confirm that some of the later modules at the end of the page require a small mix of _Rare_ _Samples_ in addition to the Common ones (Usually only like ~10 or so) You can find Rare Samples on at least the _Challenging_ difficulty, which I highly advise bringing at least one friend to help coordinate with, as the game becomes much less forgiving for Solos after Medium difficulty.

The Arc Thrower (at least now) is actually NOT inconsistent. It's mechanics may take a while to figure out, but if you spend some time with it, you may find it to be more effective than you'd think. It is largely more effective against Terminids than Automatons, but it can kill just about everything below a Charger relatively quickly (Chargers take about 5 - 6 headshots from it to go down). And on top of that, it has infinite ammo, so you never have to worry about replenishing it in the middle of combat. It arcs to enemies directly in a 180 degree radius behind or beside the enemy you hit first with it, relative to where you are firing from. And while not having the best range in the world, it is not a weapon you want to be using up close in the first place - too close, and you won't be able to take advantage of its arching mechanics to begin with.

Fellow level 50 w/ everything in the game. -Orbital airburst combos with Orbital EMS very well against bug breaches. If you can get the EMS down directly over the breach, then deploy the airburst, you will kill almost the entire spawn even in high difficulty, as it will wipe the trapped bugs, let them respawn, then kill them all again. -Tesla tower is also a powerhouse on defense missions. There are a handful of ledges you can spawn them on top of where they will repeatedly shock approaching devastators and the bots will path the long way around and die trying to get near it. -Eagle stratagems are generally better for bugs, where the fast call in time and repeated call-ins allow you to keep the massive spawn waves under control and then rearm when moving to the next objective, but orbitals help more against bots where the laser and railcannon ignore AA turret limitations and generally do a better job consistently saving you from big threats. -Scorcher is awesome against bots because it is an easy 2-3 hits to kill most things smaller than the shielded devastator. Pairs well with spear. Defender pairs well with railgun/ballistic shield. -Against bugs, breaker/GL all the way with ammo pack. Chargers can be killed by throwing an impact nade at their leg to break the armor, then dump on it with either gun to kill.

Can confirm, “Democracy protects” passive armor is insane! Switching from any other armor to that the next game makes it unbelievably obvious how many times that passive ability saves you!

The thing to keep in mind about some of these 'deadly' turrets: Solo Players exist, a lot of these 'team killers' are very useful in solo play. That being said: One of my divers placed a mine field on top of a spire once, not thinking on how it would scatter further. All the way over the console they where meant to be looking for. The Princess of Family Values lost eight recruits just clearing out our own mine field. Unfortunately the fool that placed them was one of the casualties, so we couldn't execute them for harming Democracy. (placed the next few further out, they worked wonders as early warning devices too!)

another things about the eagle airstrike is that it can destroy automaton fabricators and bug holes. so if you’re out of nades or not running a auto cannon/grenade launcher, it’ll work to destroy those objectives. those medium to large automaton camps can just get one shot with a single air strike hitting both fabricators. you don’t even need to step into the camp.

The majority of the level 1 modules require 60-100 common samples, but a few also require 20-40 rare samples on top

sleeping on that ARC thrower. Absolutely demolishes, and although its slightly inconsistent, its unlimited ammo makes up for it. Communication is key when wielding it. Tell your boys to stand back and let loose the lightning!

I really pumped all my points into defense and support, i call down rovers ammo turrets and shields for my friends 99% of the time so they can stock up on bombs and weapons. The autocannon sentry is worth more than anything, it solos bile titans, it messes up chargers, it takes bot drops out of the sky its insane, IF you position it right, if you don’t in instantly gets merkd. A few tips: it has insane range, place it higher up and far away from the fight. If you drop it in the middle of the fight it will die instantly! If you are running away throw it in front of you, it will nullify anything coming for you. On automaton missions if you call down a shield on it, it will probably out last you! Call it down behind the chargers or out of their way, and try to keep aggro, a few good hits and they are done, i had one single turret take out 3 chargers in a matter of seconds, and they couldn’t get to it up on a small ledge 😂 Make it so its right under the bile titan, as it walks towards you its gonna deal considerable damage if not kill it outright.. Or put it high up, for me it consistently got the titan in the face and dropped it instantly.

Unmentioned benefit of the Rover: Since it's a big glowing beam, it'll pinpoint enemies for you that are dangerously near, but obscured by foliage or the like. Makes snap firing at close dangers a breeze.

My usual setup: Vs bugs: cluster for hordes, airstrike for closing holes and medium targets, 500kg for titans, railgun for chargers/titans. Vs bots: the two mortars, personal shield, railgun. EMS is far more effective here as it literally stops bots in their tracks (bugs are slowed down), that's why is so effective in defense missions. Impact grenade and the 6 grenade capacity armor. One more thing: you can switch the railgun to unsafe mode which will allow more charging for more dmg but be careful: fully charge it and 💥

you are wrong about the expendable anti tank, if you hit a charger in the head with it then it one shots it.

The Tesla tower should not be “in your own ranks”. It isn’t an electric bullet emplacement. It’s more of an electric minefield. You drop it down far away from you and the bad guys go for it instead of you and it zaps them.

Just a small correction: Light armour does not baseline passively increase your stealth, that is the scout passive (Markers placed on maps scan the area every two seconds, reduces enemy detection by 30%) of certain light armour. The legionnaire armour has the servo-assisted passive and thus does NOT also get the 30% stealth buff.

update to this for new players, when you hit level 18 you can get the Quasar cannon. it can 1 tap chargers, and 2 tap bile titans, as well as 1 or 2 tap hulks / tanks. and 1 tap ships, super worth pick up!

The Tesla Tower's own description states that if you don't want to get zapped by it: Go prone. You can throw this down, GET DOWN, and wait for the bugs to kill themselves on it trying to get to you. Probably wouldn't recommend using it on Automaton missions since the bots can just shoot you from outside its area of effect but it's a very nice bug zapper.

Tip: the 120,380, and walking barrage don't use them to take out one big target like a charger, I use them as a wall to soften up and attacking force, and gives me time to think and deploy against what survives
