Just some useful quotes to remember before weighing into the comment section: “There is one God, one faith, one baptism” (Eph 4:5.) “Whoever is not with Me is against Me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.” (Lk 11:23.) “Without a doubt, they will perish forever, unless they hold the Catholic faith whole and inviolate.” (Symbol of Saint Athanasius)

Interesting take on Martin Luther. You really have to take his whole life into consideration to know if its the truth or not. The fruits of Luther really did show at the end how rotten they became. 500 years later and its just Chaos while most protestants believe that's just normal.

Most definitely. I would recommend you read The Devil‘s Bagpipe. It was written by a historian during the time of Luther who used primary sources available on Luther. It’s fairly unbiased, but shows the true nature of that arch-heretic, Luther

I was educated for my first eight years in Catholic School by the Sisters of Christian Charity. They were a congregation of religious Sisters from Germany. My next four years were also in Catholic school but we then exposed to various orders e.g., St Joseph nuns, Immaculate Heart, Mercy, Norte Dame. What they all had in common was their love of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and their love of teaching. I learned the Baltimore Catechism and Bible History in elementary school, and History of Catholicism in High School. I consider myself blessed. As an aside, we wore a beanie with our uniforms at daily mass in elementary school and a veil in high school. I veil today at 80 years old.

Pope Eugene IV and the Council of Florence (A.D. 1438 - 1445): “[The most Holy Roman Church] firmly believes, professes, and proclaims that those not living within the Catholic Church, not only pagans, but also Jews and heretics and schismatics cannot become participants in eternal life, but will depart `into everlasting fire which was prepared for the devil and his angels’ (Matt. 25:41), unless before the end of life the same have been added to the flock; and that the unity of the ecclesiastical body is so strong that only to those remaining in it are the sacraments of the Church of benefit for salvation, and do fastings, almsgiving, and other functions of piety and exercises of Christian service produce eternal reward, and that no one, whatever almsgiving he has practiced, even if he has shed blood for the name of Christ, can be saved, unless he has remained in the bosom and unity of the Catholic Church.”

You are VERY deffinatly confusing Luther and Calvin, not to mention their doctines. Never mind you are forgetting the parable of the tree, a bad tree bears bad fruit (the reformed had bad parents to turn away from). The point of Lutheranism, among other things, is that you need to go straight to God and bypass everyone else when the tree turns rotten. Anyone who says that you should turn some other way than to God (Jesus) is trying to grow the rot. As for the reformed, they grew expenentially more competant with generating money than the catholics ever did.

Jesus said: "And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven" (Matt. 16:18-19). Maybe you haven't seen that in your bible because Luther took it out. Just check and see how many things he removed simply because he didn't feel like including it.

The pope made a statement indicating all religions are a path to god just recently
@sacredartsource82973 ай бұрын
Yes, he was repeating Catholic teaching that all religions have some good in them and that anything true in them comes from God. All civilizations since the dawn of man have reasoned a Creator, being that reason demands it. But since God is infinite, and man is finite, man has imagined who and what God. In order for man to truly know who God is, God had to reveal Himself to man; that is what the Bible is about, culminating with God becoming Man in Jesus Christ.

BREAKING: "Vatican updates translation of Pope to make sure it excludes traditional Catholicism from religions that lead to God. 'We didn't want anyone getting confused thinking they can go off and be a traditionalist Catholic.' Said a spokesman from the Vatican. 'When the Pope said that all religions are paths to God, he didn't mean those nasty old rigid rad-trads.' The Vatican hopes that this new translation will help to make it clear that you're still a bad person if you try to obey the historic teachings of the Catholic Church." -Reuters 😂😂😂

@richardcastro12763 ай бұрын
Although the word Catholic came along later. Jesus instituted the Catholic Church, he left just one church. There was no menu of options. The Catholic Church consist of Jesus as the head of the church and we are the body of the Church. Jesus is in the Catholic Church through the Sacraments, there are seven of them: 1) Baptism 2) Confirmation 3) Confession 4) Communion 5) Marriage 6) Holy Orders 7) Annointing of the Sick or Last Rites Jesus is at the confessional and in the Eucharist. Matthew 28:18-20, John 20 & John 6. If do not believe in the Catholic Church, then you have to look at hundreds of Eucharist miracles, Marian apparitions with physical miracles and revelations that came true, the simple poncho made from cactus materials that has lasted nearly 500 years, the incorruptable bodies of many, many Catholic saints, visionaries with stigmatas, priests than can know all your sins (like Padre Pio; which there are others right now...) and the priest that prayed the rosary and SURVIVED the bomb dropped on Hiroshima ( where their church was not far from where the bomb actually hit. Everything around them was polverized and THEY DID NOT SUFFER RADIATION POISONING. Or the US bombing squadron that tried many times to drop bombs on the Church were Padre Pio pastored. He bilocated. After the war, some of the bomber crews visited Italy and recognized the flying priest, they converted from Protestantism. So if you look toward the miracles, they are nearly all in the Catholic Church. You can research it.
