Very true. Now it's Botteril moaning and bitching about violence in hockey, and clown Ron sitting there nodding like he agrees completely (which of course he does, he does whatever sportsnet tells him to do). The only one that calls her out is Bieksa, and even he is a little neutered (that guy was damn tough on the ice, he knows what the real deal is). Rock em sock em for the win.

@@High_Caliber Stewart is the total worst! But yeah, they have to have women now. I respected Cassie, until I heard her on.a game this year when the refs were calling garbage all period and she was doing the Mike Breen/Mark Jackson bs on the calls, justifying it. I know they get instructions, but its so prepackaged now, like the news, no individualism in it. Like people said when Don got fired, they pay him to speak his mind, be controversial, and when he does, they fire him. I'd rather listen to 10000 Gord Miller goal calls over Stewart btw. HNIC used to be great with guys like Don Whitman, Bob Cole (in his prime as a PBP), Harry Neale, Ron and Don and Chris Cuthburt and I even liked Scott Russell (much more than Scott Oake who if anyone can eclipse Ron's phoniness it's him). I agree, HNIC isn't what it used to be, but it's the same in most sports, whether it be Madden, Jack Buck, Jon Miller and Joe Morgan, Marv Albert, times changed.

@@dingdong7610 Well said. I really miss the days sitting on the green shag carpeting, in the wood panel room, dad and uncle sitting there drinking beers out of stubbys, listening to the commentators commenting on the GAME, not on social politics. When they threw Don under the bus, I cancelled cable and center ice, and now I just get pirated streaming sites. Eff rogers, CBC, and hell, the government for that matter. Send me back to 1975, this was a really REALLY nice country to live in back then :(

I so agree with Don on this. I hate watching basketball on ice. I've seen games this year where the refs call it and guys adjust and dive. Still not soccer or basketball, but I like to have them be clear on the rules, and consistent, but not call ticky tack stuff

I am fro Birmingham Alabama and a lot of people knew Don Cherry and its how hockey grew here in Alabama. Its actually a very big sport here. Years ago HNIC was not available in USA at least not if you weren't in the northern states and didn't have CBC. Cherry was fantastic and clearly knows the game. Its amazing how smart and ahead of the time he was as society was put on notice years ago. Sad athletes are too soft now. Other than our Football program its why we dominate. We are mentally tough, respect the game, and keep our traditions. When something changes we rise up. And thats how we have become a dynasty! You either win the right way or lose the weaker way. And people wonder why they fail? Now a days most win because the competition sucks and not as good as before. Its why we still have debates on who is better from 20,.30 years ago.

Ron had the courage to apologize. Cherry didn't. It's clear who the softer person is (while pretending he's hard). Pretty much all hardcore Cherry fans are like that. So much projection. They talk about 'telling it like it is' and how people today are 'soft' and they get so triggered over missing the same stupid 7-minutes every Saturday and then, can't even admit that Cherry was talking about immigrants and can only say, "he should have used different words." Used different words? That's your biggest criticism. Cherry fans: The most easily triggered snowflakes in hockey.

I bet you also think Trudeau is doing a good job. Don's big flaw was not literally saying immigrants should appreciate the country they move to and not just about our "freedoms". Patriotism is not racism and all you woke people need to go to bed
@September2004
@September2004 2 жыл бұрын
@@geneozzycopper6412 I don't think that. I'm not even sure what to think. But nice try. Don's biggest advantage is that he knows his fans are too stupid, brain-washed and illiterate to call him out on what was clearly was a remark referring to immigrants. His flaw is that he's a hypocrite like you. He can't even admit what he clearly said because he's a liar and his fans stick with him no matter what because they have no principles. I can't tell what you're trying to say with your "Don't big flaw" comment. Are you one of those people who are still denying that he's referring to immigrants? Just want to clarify that before I say anything else.
@geneozzycopper6412
@geneozzycopper6412 2 жыл бұрын
So what you are doing is being a bigot . So it's ok for you not me. Perfect example of a Trudeau fan. Communism at its finest. Saying people that like don are illiterate is laughable, no they are actually Canadian and have their own opinions if it offends you... GOOD
@geneozzycopper6412
@geneozzycopper6412 2 жыл бұрын
I was saying Don's big flaw. Speaking of immigration how about the fact while we in Canada were told it wasn't safe to leave our homes our slimy dictator allowed over 250,000 people to come to our country and brought this "virus" . Ontario alone received over half of that hence we are in lockdown still and the planes keep landing daily
