I might only be 24, but Henley's music has been the soundtrack to my life since I was 6 or 7. Own all the Eagles albums (on CD, vinyl, and digital), seen the Eagles on tour, own all the solo albums, etc.... My favorite voice in music of all time.

aems24 I'm (considerably) older than 24. Good music is good music, per se. Have to agree with you - Don Henley is THE voice. He is (IMHO) the best vocalist ever (and I'm a massive Beatles fan - but Don is THE man). I saw the Eagles before you were born. (What a sad old... :))

Been looking forward to this album for a long time. Agree...End of Innocence can't be topped. I like this song...new melodies and chord progressions are so hard to write. I hear "Heart of the Matter" and "Waiting in the Weeds" alot in this song. Nevertheless, I'm a fan and will buy the album no matter what.

Looking through other comments on this video, I noticed a lot of folks mentioning the Eagles. Sure, don Henley is a huge part of that and there are great, timeless Eagles tunes that will always be part of henley's legacy. However, I've always felt that his solo music is of a different caliber. There is more to his music in lyrics and just in general. I'm not intending to discount the Eagles, but I've always liked don henley's songwriting better. Even his Eagles tunes are better in my opinion.

He is the 'Don' - frankly an obscene quota of talent, I was sure this was a lost song from the past, utterly absurd that he can still deliver this, aged 68 - anyone else out there doing the same? As far as no picture taking at concerts, that's in keeping with Henley's latest public "rant," the death of common decency, common consideration for others and their profession. When we buy a ticket to his concert are we really interested in some blurry picture taken from 60 feet away, or do we go to listen to the fantastic music? Sorry, I think if our places were switched I would have Don and his camera tossed out of my concert too! I for one appreciate what he is saying, and think it's sad that most people today simply don't get it. But then Henley and I are close to the same age, so.....
