Don McLean once stated that he loves Weird Al Yankovic's version of this song, titled "The Saga Begins", so much, that sometimes he slips into singing Weird Al's lyrics instead of his own 😂😂

@@ReactToTheWorld Oh yes indeed there is a Weird Al version. As I said, it's titled "The Saga Begins", and it about the events surrounding Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin during Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, sang from Obi Wan's point of view 😂😂

Hi John & Lulu, Great song about the plane crash of the American Pie that took 3 Rock'n'Roll heros Buddy Holly, Richie Valans & The "Big Bopper"J. P. Richardson 2/3/1959 in Clear Lake Iowa😪and also pilot Roger Peterson, Waylon Jennings(who was Buddy's Guitar player) was suppose to be the 3rd passenger but gave his spot to The Big Bopper 🙏

This song is full of alliterations about that time. I don't remember most of them. One is, when he sings 'Lenin read a book on Marx', he's actually talking about John Lennon, not the Russian leader.
