Enjoyed that! I believe I could do the role of the guy who gets slapped with the fish with my dancing "dexterity". The guy with the bedpost would be Don Quixote (followed by Sancho). Quixote is insane, and the bedpost would be a lance in his imagination.

Well this's quite the change of pace. I'm a fan myself, and seen quite a few in my time, though not this. But I have seen the Royal Ballet do a number of other classic productions. And yes, it does have a reputation for being 'artsy, pretentious', but it's really not. It's very much a spectacle, and for all the reasons you've (JP's) mentioned, the music, dance, sets etc. High art at it's finest. Oh, and for the record, my fave... Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.

@@JustJP You could, you could stream one from the Royal Ballet's website... For yourself, or for the channel, but beware, if for the channel it could potentially make for a very long song Saturday. That said, you could go and see one live, even better. Flordia has it's own ballet, The Sarasota Balet Company. Even if you only went once, and weren't fussed it's quite an experience. PS. Ironically, the Sarasota Ballet are currently set to perform in London in June, so I could potentially see them before you, in the near future at least 🙂
