I was 9 when I realized that you can either let hard situations make you bitter or make you better. Now I just tell myself "bitter or better" when I feel wronged and have thoughts of reacting in anger.

Made my very first loaf of soap a couple days ago, cut it into bars yesterday. Olive and coconut oil. Worked out great and glad I could call my first attempt a success. Thanks for being part of that! I found your channel about a week ago and have watched a couple dozen videos already. Good stuff! Oh, and I built a wooden loaf mold with latches like yours to remove the ends. Awesome! :)

Yep!!! Within 4 months I got a brain tumor, went blind, kidney failure, liver failure and was put in a wheelchair. Next 4 months regained my vision with brain surgery, taught myself how to walk, fixed my kidneys and my liver with help from doctors. I could have given up but didn't.

I've been watching your videos for almost a year. Can I just say, Freaking Thank YOU! Seriously. Six years ago I started a side business of making soaps and lotion bars. I was doing pretty well for a newbie. However, 5 months in I had to put everything on a hiatus due to my aunt becoming terminally ill back east. For 4 months I as away from home, helping her and my Uncle but then helping my uncle close down and liquidate her beloved antique shop. Upon returning home from our devastating loss, I tried to dig back in to soaping again. I just couldn't. The thought of building something that my loved ones would have to one day dismantle just absolutely crippled me. Fast forward 6 years and a ton of feeling shame for not following through and guilt for wanting to start again and the vicious cycle going back and forth... here I am, awaiting new raw materials to arrive to start soaping again. Over the last several months I have been re-researching all of my recipes. Rediscovering ideas and techniques. But most of all, coming across your channel. Man oh man... you have truly helped me get over some of the most overly anal behaviors that would make soaping daunting. A lot of my neurotic behaviors that just took a ton of time. All of which I would tolerate because I enjoyed the idea that a whole lot stuff that doesn't make any sense to be throw together into a bowl and with the help of science... viola.... SOAP. Anyhow... that was long winded, I know... my apologies. But again. Thank you, Uncle Jon. ~~ A friend... MJ

Seriously, we all just need to rant sometimes. It just gets all that built up negativity out, and then you can breathe again and keep going. I'm sure someone could make some serious money selling "rant sessions". There are stigmas when a person chooses to see someone in the psych field, but selling a 30 minute rant session where you get to run your mouth judgement free, maybe get to throw a few plates at a wall, and then leave with no strings, just feeling lighter? I feel like people would be nicer to each other without all that pent up ugliness trapped up, just waiting for the last straw to land so Trish from Starbucks can be verbally abused for forgetting the whipped cream. Just saying, Lucy from Peanuts was onto something.🤔🤔. Great video😁
