I like your Czech accent. It reminds me of my long past family that was from Western Poland. Don't change. We all need to learn to be more authentic. You be you.

I like how you sound. I like things not so perfect. In America, everyone expects things to be polished and perfect. That’s boring. I’d rather enjoy a channel as though I’m sitting across from someone having a casual conversation…not being judged on the quality of every word. And I enjoy your enthusiasm. Keep it up.

The Czech accent is charming, especially for making a channel about Slavic tradition and stories. Perhaps I am biased due to my beloved Prague, but that is the my take

Thank you for bringing the Slavic folk to the international public. The only reason nobody knows anything about our part of Europe is because we don't even try to sell it. I watched many english-speaking youtubers talking about Slavic mythology, Slavic word origins and history, and none of them seemed to truly understand what they were talking about, being "culture professors" and making mistakes that average babcia would laugh at. To understand, or to help others understand, we need to have a voice. You are the voice, and it's beautiful it's a voice with a Czech accent.

Thank you 🙂 I very much agree with you that it's our own fault nobody knows anything about our culture. That's why I'm trying to change it at least in a small way.

I'm a newer sub, you reeled me in with the "How Netflix butchered The Witcher books" series. It annoyed me to see a piece of Slavic culture get desecrated like that, when it was our best shot to see something of our own, made with a big budget. But that same interest in Slavic culture is what made me sub to you, as your lore videos explore a niche that not many cover. Glad that you found your drive, and hope to see more of your work. We all have our insecurities, and they often do shackle us, buuut we do have the ability to overcome that, given time and effort. For what it's worth -- I also cringe at my accent whenever I hear a recording of my voice, but that's just how we Slavic folk sound, no point worrying about it tbh haha

I have the same reservations about creating content. I always use the "I would do it, but..." excuse. I at least have one video on my channel so far, and plan on plan on making more. The only thing that gets in my way is I am 19 still living in my parents home, and have barely any privacy here. Seriously I can't even be on a phone call without someone barging into my room. I do think that you inspired me to start though, because I can tell how passionate you are with your content. I thought to myself that I have that kind of passion for medieval Germanic languages and folklore. Anyways, thanks for the great content bro, I always love watching your slavic folklore videos.

I had the same problem for a while but then I moved out. You can still have the same problem with roommates though so I would recommend just finding the best time for recording and then you can edit it whenever. I know it feels a bit weird and awkward but you can also ask your family to give you some space when you're recording, they'll probably understand it. Just don't be afraid of what they might think about you. If that's a problem for you (as it was for me) you need to get over that. I would also recommend watching this guy. I've been watching him since like 2015 and he helped me a lot with understanding how content creation on KZbin works and also with changing my mindset for the better. I actually want to make a video about a short channel review he did for me several months back and what my plans are for the next year. So that will probably be in a video for the next week. kzbin.info/www/bejne/baiwq6Fqmbd_hpYsi=rtp53tnXWmMwKi64

Concerning grammar, as an English language teacher, take comfort in this. Have you ever heard the mistakes native speakers can make? Ultra cringe! Especially when they have a poor vocabulary repertoire.

Keep doing the folklore videos if you enjoy them. There's definitely an audience for them on KZbin that you'll tap into eventually. I think the algorithm is showing you to the 'hate on Netflix remakes' crowd right now, but you don't need to get sucked into that space.
@FolkWalkCZ11 ай бұрын
I'll definitely do more videos about The Witcher Netflix show because there's still a lot to talk about but I agree. I don't want to become just another anti-woke youtuber. I very much agree with Rageaholic when he says that we shouldn't just cry about the culture, we need to create it.
@captainhurricane570511 ай бұрын
I would rather hear your real voice than some bot. Your English is fine, and your accent doesn't make any difference to your content, so stop worrying about that. There are a billion channels out there, and they are all dreaming of having a million subscribers. Such is life. Anyway, I find your channel interesting, so there you go. I can be very critical of KZbin videos, but does anyone really care what I think? Do you? As long as you have fun, that's the main thing.

Something that really sucks is spending so much time on a video and nobody watches it. I got lucky with a Witcher art style video, but it was one of the videos I put the least amount of effort into. The videos I put effort into barely get watched at all. Mood killer for sure.
