As a Filipino, thank you for suggesting these movies. I'll try to find English-subbed versions of these so I can watch it.

Damn, I didn't even get far enough to see most of these characters in the show as I checked out the moment Eyck met his ridiculous conclusion after struggling through the handful of episodes before that moment. I 100% agree about Cavill. I've said since he was announced that he's too handsome to play Geralt.

Another cool tid bit, you can tell that the era this world is in is the late Middle Ages. This and that there are gunpowder grenades shows that the world of the Witcher is on the cusp of entering the cool era of Guns and Knights.

I mean, Netflix started off as just a business to get movies directly to customers first. Not a production company. Yeah, they had a few original movies and tv shows that stuck but there are alot of flops to just get those few good shows/movies.

As a big fat nerd, i loved the battles and political intrigue. I loved Nilfgaard using elf commandos to sow chaos. I love the fact Nilfgaard has a proffesional standing army with ranks and command structure. Seriously, how the fuck do people not like all the cool military stuff?

I think by far the best thing they could've done is make Eskel the new main character. He is guaranteed to survive Witcher 3, unlike Lambert, and has a more straightforward personality compared to Lambert as well, though is a bit more upbeat compared to Geralt. He is enough backstory to be expanded upon, and is still out there being a Witcher and not retiring like Geralt. We also could still have some fanservice if we really wanted to, since Eskel is likely the only one of the witchers who would ever consider returning to Kaer Morhen for some reason. He has plenty of potential for development and stories while still having a tie to the previous stories as well, and unlike Ciri, is already a full mutant witcher and not overpowered. Also we could always use more Eskel and not the abomination version of him from the TV show.

CDPR is a corpo now and they care only about their shareholders wallets ;) Which is a cancer in Poland, everything goes to stock market and its driven by unachievable expectations. Seems like its better to invest your free time in KCD and Warhorse.

Should have called it "The witcher: School of the viper" And have it on the newly reform witcher school made in Nilfgaard to fight a ever raising threat of monster returning.

I just came across this in my recommended videos and FUCK YES. I love the "mundane" parts of the Continent. The Witchers are a dying breed as are the monsters at large they hunt. Civilisation is taking over. I love how the books describe the grime, the actual life of the people around. It's somewhat easy to describe epic battles, heroes and tales, and that is great. But I want to hear about the stories of the shit caked, muddy, flea ridden men-at-arms, like Poor Fucking Infantry.

Couldn't agree more, although it should also be mentioned that Ciri has been uglified, which is red flag on its own. But i'am glad to see there are witcher fans still with common sense. It's rather crazy how many people defend this game.

I think a monster in a small-ish mansion is far more stressful and frightening than in some massive place. Big enough for the monster to move around easily and small enough that when fleeing or hiding you can't go far and there isn't really anywhere it can't reach you, and when fighting there isn't much room for you to maneuver.

Geralt knows the insane risk of the trials, he would never let Ciri do it. I don’t think Ciri would do it; she had her own unique set of powers. This is shitty writing.

I don't mind diversity in the cast if the world is kind of a deviation from the og material like here + plus the political climate/marketing purposes play a role in Hollywood(usa) too.

100% agree and love your take on the world of the Continent. Military and political factions also need emphasis and exposure so as not to exhaust the most hyped components of its fantasy. It's like pure sugar vs a sweet cake: which do we tire of first? (and I'd argue that the world of the Continent is not a sweet cake)

Witcher games series is not God of War. And even in God of War Kratos doesn't kill them just to prove point to people it is always because gods want to enslave him or hurt him in some way.

I'm afraid there's no English ttanslation unfortunately. I only found French (which is the original) and German on Amazon. There's no Czech translation either but there's at least Slovak one which is very similar to our language so I bought that version.
