Don't be Part of Church that Teaches As Doctrines Commandments of Men
For the plain and obvious reason, the church of today will not elevate members who disagree with their theology, their doctrines, and their core mission statement. If they did, they would lose the identity of their church. So they're only going to hire a lead pastor, a children's pastor, a youth pastor, elders and deacons in their church that agree with their theology and their teaching. So if you want to grow in one of these organized churches, you're only going to grow as far as the leadership there. You're not going to think differently than they do. And if you do, you likely will be excommunicated. You will not be able to be part of their group. But I want to read to you what Jesus said about these people in Matthew chapter 15. It's a quote from Isaiah.
7Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
These churches teach as though it's a doctrine of God and they say follow me as I follow God. But in reality, they're following doctrines of men. Last night I had a dream. And in my dream, all the things the Holy Spirit taught me, I wanted to go and share with someone in the church. And when I got into the church, it was a Bible study. And in this Bible study, they were asking people about their doctrine and about what they believed about certain things in the Bible. And because I had been taught by the Holy Spirit and how I responded, they disagreed with. When they put everyone in order of importance or where they deemed them in their relationship to God, they had me very last at the very end of the line in the dream. So they had everyone from their teaching pastor and the people that agreed with their theology all the way to the newcomers and the people that didn't know anything about the Bible and then me. So this literally happens in the church. They don't care if you're hearing from the Holy Spirit. They don't care if you are actually in alignment with Jesus Christ. They only care if you're adhering to their doctrines. Do we care about what Jesus thinks? Are we in step with the Holy Spirit or have we become religious, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men? May the grace of Jesus be with you.
