In my past I was a mostly lazy Catholic. I pray I'm not that person any longer. I never want to be lazy again. My last hurdle is daily scripture reading, because I really don't like to read. I want to actually read the bible not just hearing the Gospel and readings at Mass. Thank you Ken for this encouragement. Viva Cristo Rey 🙏🏼🥰

I am the same way! Hate reading! Do you have the Hallow app? It totally changed my life. Highly suggest it. Father Mike Schmidt does a daily reading of the Bible. I listen to it while I do laundry, dishes or something ... it’s especially nice to hear his explanation of each chapter.

Yes, I've become the lazy Catholic, and with two cancers, who too often depends on others to pray for me while not giving the same of myself to pray for my own healing. I recognize my lax self-prayer life and expect more out of me in asking for God directly to empty me of complacency and fill the void with a remorseful and penitent heart. My God, how I want to be healed. How I want to be healed for my wife that I should serve her needs as she gives her all and her best to care and pray for me. Bless her, dear Lord for her selfless spirit. Touch me Lord that I become more like her. God bless us. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen

As an avid hiker, I loved the phrase "the higher we go, the better we can hear the voice of Christ"! I have had to slow my pace down a bit, but I still love being outside on a trail in the peaceful quiet of the early morning. My favorite time of day. 🙏😃

Now I want to do winter/mountaineering expedition/ camping again, but those days seem mostly behind me particularly at my age and conditions now, but all of that is besides the most important point! ... Thank GOD and you for this good Catholic/Orthodox video - it reiterated what I have been taught/learned time and again before, and I have a recent example. There was a lack in my fiancee's part of communication with me. I resolved to pray as I ought - including my present day version of my Fatima intentions 5 decade Holy Rosary, and to do the work/tasks that I ought and GOD will lead me to His truth and Ordaining Will about the situation. Sure enough and then some, my good fiancee communicated with me time and again later today - even despite the fact of the war attacks that she had to endure and seek shelter from yesterday morning.

Although as I get older things become slower and may seem lesser, I do not think that I have the time to “be lazy” with God. I think that the “snowball” progressively became greater for me many decades ago when I had decided that I needed to do something extra and special for God every day, anything no matter how small as a special gift from me. Then it simply became more and more and more. From saying a Rosary at least once a week, which became more than one Rosary every evening. Then reading morning offering prayers every morning, And the USCCB daily readings with homilies, And reading and studying the Bible (I am on my 8th year for that…once you have read the Bible in its entirety it is impossible not to continue every day/year), And reading and studying multiple works written by saints and holy people of God, And attending conferences, workshops, retreats… Not just one of these things but all, and more. I feel that as you become closer to God, to His Word, to the Holy Spirit, to the Blessed Mother, you know that you need to do more. My heart and soul perceives that I am lacking in what I give, nothing ever seems enough, no matter how much I do. I will never ever reach a point of having done enough for Him. That makes me so happy! My love for God is so great that I can never do enough, as I know is His love for me! Amen.

Thank you for the reminder / explanation. It sometimes gets easy to see God as a magician who fixes things and a bad guy when he doesn't fix things. But that's not the way things are. I actually had a discussion with someone and told them that was trying to explain how God does not create miracles to fix the person. He does it to bring Faith to those around the person.

I don't either. About ten years ago, I had cancer therapies that kept me down for about 19 months. I did some work, but mostly I was down because I had chemo every week, because I couldn't tolerate the big dose of every three weeks. So, after I was in remission, I started "habit stacking'" , every morning when I get up, I make my bed, and when I go to bed at night, I have a clean sink and the dishes in the dishwasher. I do other things too, but those I do every day, and that has really helped.

I understand what you are saying. You need to get up and do... But.. God the Father does want us to walk WITH Him each and everyday. Why only do it His way when your way doesn't work? If you do nothing.. yeah that is not good... But don't wait to call on God.. walk WITH Him. He is not a job boss... He is Our Father. And a Good one... Do good fathers Not hold our hands when we are learning to walk? Why would you not include him from the Start? God does not wish to be on the side lines of your life... He wants to be Your Father. Remember Saint Theresa who went to him like a little child to her Father?... He loves that. Don't wait for God to do it for you... but also don't wait on calling on Him... He is a Good Father. God Bless you.

We are commanded by Messiah that, “...repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” (Luke 24:47). In other words, we are supposed to preach the gospel that came out of Jerusalem and not preach the gospel that came out of Antioch, or Rome, or England, or New York, or Chicago, etc. By the time the gospel got to Antioch it had already been perverted as we read, “...And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” (Acts 11:26). The problem with this is that YHWH spoke of a people called by His name (Deuteronomy 28:10; 2 Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 43:6, 7; Daniel 9:19; Amos 9:12; Acts 15:17). YHWH did not choose the name “Christian” for Himself. The people of Antioch chose that name and all the so called main denominations of today embrace that name “Christian” for themselves. When Peter and Paul preached the gospel they quote the prophet Joel, “Whosoever shall call on the name of YHWH shall be saved.” (Joel 2:32; Acts 2:21; Rom. 10:13). The English word "Lord" is not a translation for the name YHWH but is a substitution. I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none! Paul makes it crystal clear that the end result of him preaching the gospel was that the people would call on the name YHWH. He says in (Rom. 10:14,15), The preachers are sent. They preach. The people hear. The people believe. The people call on the name YHWH (Rom. 10:13). I ask you, how many of the church fathers and so called main denominations of today preach that gospel? None of them. Absolutely none! It took only one generation after the death of Joshua for the children of Israel to forget the mighty works of YHWH which He had worked through Moses and Joshua and to began to serve the elohim of the heathen people around them (Judges 2:7-13). It took only one generation! The most important thing that I learned in life is about the mikvah for the bride of Christ. A mikvah is a pool of water used for immersion. It has been used for thousands of years in the Bible and it is still being used today by both Jews and Christians. However, Christian denominations have turned baptism into an initiation for lifetime membership into their particular denomination. However, most believers know that Christ is coming back for His bride. But I just found out last year that every Jewish bride immerses herself in a mikvah before her marriage ceremony. Therefore, the reason I am telling you and my family and friends about this is that the next time you are in a pool of water immerse yourself as a mikvah to be part of the Bride of Christ calling on the name of Yahweh (Jesus = Yahoshuah = Yahweh salvation) for the remission of sins. ... ...

It takes a strong man to believe that he will one day be wealthy and successful, and wealth is not for everyone. I can say that I am wealthy, but even if I were not wealthy, I would be content. If you intend to make KZbin videos, get rid of the desire to make money. I always tell people to document rather than create. If KZbin does not work for you, try other options such as cryptocurrency, NFT, stocks, and so on. If you require assistance, please email me. Bottom line, keep your faith strong.
