My hilux is at 340k. It broke with the gentlest of pressure whilst changing my air mass meter. I had to file flat the port redrill to 5mm bore on the rad tank, and tap in a 6mm brass hydraulic hose connector and used pratley steel as thread seal. Much cheaper fix than a new rad.

Cool Anthony, when I have my 08 120 out of the shed next, I'll check this over, I fitted a new water pump not long back, but did nothing near this hose line, though I did have timing belt done around the same time, so I hope the mechanic didn't damage it whilst doing it, being in that area, I'll check it all the same and be mindful of it in the future, cheers mate 👍 😉

Lol that's funny ,done that to my Hilux the overflow nipple , Just drilled it out ,got some threaded tube and screwed it in ,perfect

I was doing a service today and that hose popped on off. Coolant everywhere. Looked like someone had broken it a while ago. 230k on the clock, I bought it at 210k on the clock. 150 prado 2012. The little male spigot coming out there was so eroded that is turned to powder. Guttered

I just broke mine 2012 prado it was brittle and the pipe when trying to get it out hose crumbled into 2 or 3mm plastic shards, it has a Toyota stamp on radiator. I'm not the first owner so unsure if they cooked it to make it brittle.

Learner here. Hit it with ratchet pulling off the crank. Can you give me part number for 90 series prado 1kz. I'm having hard time find one for USA I know your not from here but maybe you have an idea of where I can get one or some one reading. Sourcing parts for these in US is difficult

I have just discovered mine is broken as well. I did not lean on it but it was broken. when I removed the stub fron the hose it came out in three bits split along the axis. The plastic was so brittle if you sqeezed it and rubbed your fingers the plastic would go to powder. I think it has been affected by the heat over the years . Car is a 2010 model and this is 2024. A new Radiator on order At $578 from toyota.

Or take it two the battery shop and they snap it off while changing the battery so guess what they broke it they fix it didn't cost me a cent love it
