I've been told by a viewer that the strap here is actually a repurposed goruck dog leash? So that might be the case with more than mine or just mine. If so, I think that's pretty fun...but also not a great strap still. Wanted to share that info!

I understand that these are made in the USA with high quality materials. I like buying quality USA made products as much as the next person, and I do expect them to cost more.... a LITTLE more. I've noticed that over the past few years though, things seem to be a little out of control with pricing on USA made items. At least within the "tactical" and outdoors industries. $230 (base) is absolutely and completely ridiculous for this pouch. There is no way you can convince me otherwise. Obviously people are paying for them since they sell out when they do limited runs, so that's great for them. I wouldn't though. Things like this really turn me off to companies, personally.

It’s a well made product, handmade in the USA. I agree consumer should expect a premium price point. I think that if they ever start factory producing these the price will come down, but honestly this should probably be $75 for a cordura base version.

@@ThePerfectBag Definitely. If this was $75-100 I would still think it was a little high for what it is, but I would understand, and possibly even consider it if I was in the market for something like it.

I appreciate a look into this. I would have liked it more if it was fully clamshell opening, making it easier to get into it. But it's way too pricey.

Even when considering all the wild secondary values surrounding limited Carryology collabs, I’ve never seen a bag so overhyped as the GRenade. The perceived value on these is just insane to me. There is currently someone selling a GR1/Grenade Heritage set for $740 in one of the FB groups. Assuming the Heritage GR1 is priced around the average secondary value of $350, that means the seller has valued the Grenade at $390. I feel bad for whoever buys it. And sadly, someone will.

Sorry gotta ask,lol what bag is that black one with the coyote strap / handle deal on the left (if u are watching the video) above the Rhake??? I feel the same about GR for the most part. I use to love their stuff (not like “super fan” status or anything) and there stuff has always been on the higher side of the market for sure but it feels like they have become one of those brands thats like well lets just see how high we can go b4 sales drop off.

Boy that’s hard to justify lol. Collector item I guess. I love GORUCK bags, it’s a tough and simple 200 dollar bag with a 150 dollar lifetime warranty. I use mine for work and it will (hasn’t yet) get chewed up. It just will. So when I send it in for repair or replacement, that’s a 50 dollar discount on a new bag. The next time it’s free, I guess. The grenade would be dope for 120 bucks (in my mind 60 for the bag 60 for the warranty. I guess, still a lot.

I had to trade an insanely beautiful bag to get my hands on the heritage grenade. It’s so ridiculously overpriced, it is a nice bag but there so many others out there. I have been using mine for CCW and it actually does very well but still could have got 4-5 bags for the price of this.

I will take the Black Ember Kompak any day of the week over the Grenade. And the price...are you kidding me? Honestly, it is a $40 design, if that. The Grenade has got to be the most overrated piece of EDC out there right now, but thanks for the review of it! Edit: What do I think of GORUCK bags you ask? I give them an A grade for build quality, a C for design innovation and a D for comfort.

I bought a regular gr1 21 to see the goruck hype for myself. I can now confirm they are the most overpriced, overrated hypetrain bags out there. They're good don't get me wrong but people are definitely drinking the koolaid

Goruck is overall way overpriced. Even their regular backpacks are considering they are very simple bags designs. Never going to buy anything from them. I rather buy Bellroy's :)
