I have the 16L. I was initially worried about the size, as I’m a 5’10” 240 pound powerlifter. It’s now my summer work backpack and I’m pleased as punch. Prior to this bag, I was using an evergoods chz22 or an aer city pack pro.

Here to modify this opinion. The 16L is great for one shoulder carry- house to car to site visit, etc.- but definitely too small for a normal, two shoulders, carry at my size. I traded it for an M23 21L.

Love my Bullet DC16. It's my "under the seat" personal item in a 2-bag set up paired with a rollaboard. The rollaboard is for clothes and shoes (which I don't mind gate checked if overhead bin space is full). The DC16 is for everything else. All my tech, in flight needs, TSA liquids, Dopp Kit, wallet, keys etc. I chose the DC16 to preserve as much foot room as possible. United has a stricter personal item limit and the DC16 length works better than the DC18.

This is my wife's first GORUCK bag, and she loves it. She never understood why I liked their bags, but now it makes sense. The price was perfect. I also picked up an M23, because I think it's a nice alternative to the GR1.

Would so love to grab this bag to replace my Bullet 16L, but it's just not in the budget right now, & the Bullet 16L is still in my top 5 bags rotation. I didn't like the straps on that bag, either (they pinched into my armpits). But once I added a sternum strap, in this case an Alpha One Niner fidlock, the fit was way more comfortable. You might have similar luck with the DC Bullet.

And those are already too short for me (the buckles dig into my arm pits). Even after shipping to Europe making it 175 euro, it still feels like a good priced bag. 255 and then shipping and tax is a nope though.

Yeah I can't really. I only own a few of them - one was on clearance and I traded for the other. The others that I've owned to review I sold fairly quickly

Yes but it really isn't very stretchy - it has some give but it's not elastic. You are correct that no mesh is as durable as non mesh though

@ThePerfectBag noted that. Insightful review. The mesh material in the first/front compartment is better than the material in the second compartment, and that's significant. That long, stretchy pocket with a zipper should have been two zippered pockets, similar to how it's made in the first compartment's material (mesh).
