DON'T BUY THE $50 Razer Phone 2 Kevlar Case

The case design may be poor but it’s price can be explained by the fact it is made of Kevlar. Kevlar is on-brand licensed carbon fiber. If you are interested in a hobby that involves carbon fiber you should know that it is not cheap at all. Treat this case more like a light-weight and slightly more protective phone skin. As it was intended to be used.

I was about to say the same thing... This guy doesnt have a clue what he is talking about the case is carbon fiber, my carbon fiber case for the pixel which is pretty similar was the same price.

@@CDgame12 Well, I never said it was worth it. I said the cost was justified. Check out Simply Carbon Fiber. Same deal, Carbon Fiber is expensive. It's worth it to me, as it's real carbon fiber and it's only slightly thicker than a skin. I hate cases, I don't want some big bulky thing around my sleek phone. I also stay with insurance, so if I do drop it, Asurion 29 bucks and they fix it. That's the price of most good cases. However I rarely drop my phone, and 90% of the time when I do break it, it was time for an upgrade anyway, so I get the screen fixed give my wife or the kids my phone and buy a new one.

@@CDgame12 Like I said, I don't like big bulky cases. Ones that can be closed. My Razer phone has a Carbon Fiber Skin. Even the Carbon Case by them borders on too thick for me. Though I may grab one to protect the back glass. A smart phone company would use Carbon Fiber back shell. It will wireless charger through it, and it won't shatter like glass.

Merge 2 case works great. Just know you have to replace it after you drop your phone. lol Mine broke after time I dopped the phone but the phone still looks brand new. Upside it's only 13.99. Now looking for a new case that will fair much better. Glad I saw this before I bought it.

It makes no sense to use the Kevlar material if the phone can still break. I figured this out today that there are not enough cases that will keep this phone from breaking ..... Updated 4/10/19 The Tudia case is the best case for this phone so far. I didn't see a drop test with the Razer but I seen the drop test with an iPhone 6 or 7 and a Galaxy s10 which is completely different in weight so I know that test really doesn't apply to the Razer but this case protected the iPhone from a 10 to 20 ft drop and it didn't break. Tudia cases have great reviews and the case cost me $13.

The kevlar case is actually really good, i just got mine today and a screen protector and it mostly protects the back glass, its made of kevlar which is why its pricy and it feels good in the hand.

I didn't save my money, I picked one up today. Got the Razer Phone 2 for $458 CDN on prime day, amazing deal. Picked up this case expecting exactly what I'm gonna get. Carbon Fiber is freakin' 'spensive. It's lightweight and durable as fuck. This is the case you want if you're a baller, sure there's lots of cases out there that cover it up real nice for $13, but this mostly protects most of it, coupled with a tempered glass screen protector is all you should need to protect such a piece of art. If you want more protect, for cheaper, buy a beach towel from Wal-Mart for eight bucks and just wrap your phone all the way up. Totally protected! But, if you want a simple case that's deserving of the phone inside of it- ignore this guy and buy this case ;)

I have the RP2 and bought that case .. The phone is great, that case is pure garbage and the price is BS. Razer should feel guilty for charging more than 5$ for it. It makes the phone far less comfortable to hold and barely protects it.

I like the case. It looks nice and comes on and off easily. I had cheaper options but chose this one, and I don't regret it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But I have always used thin cases or go no case so i guess that's why I don't mind.

Spigen case on Amazon is not Real Carbon Fiber. So there is that. Had a case just like this for my Pixel, it too was real carbon fiber, and it was 65 dollars.... Plastic =/= Carbon Fiber Facepalm...

I just saw that video again....that case sux, doesn’t cover the top, the bottom....guy even said if falls on it’s front it’s gonna break....it is what it is, the 13 buck case seems more protective, at least the bumper goes all the way around, there’s a tiny lip on the front, so u can check out the crohma....( I spelled that wrong, I know).....and the camera ends up flush....but either way...✌️

@@marco77ar Well ya, but see that's not for everyone. I don't use a case at all. I'm not going to wrap my beautifully crafted Glass/Metal machine in plastic. Why buy some nice premium phone with aluminum and glass, and then wrap it in plastic. Get a plastic phone for much less. I have a skin on my Razer phone. My pixels are all naked, so was my Note 7, and is my 8. And every phone before. Honestly the last time I had a case, was the SG3 but that phone was plastic, and the plastic case (UAG) looked better. And I drop my phone's, all the time, everyone does. And I have insurance and worst case, if the screen does break or something does happen I get it fixed 29 dollars, that's the price of a case lol. Although that usually doesn't happen. These phones these days are alot more durable then people seem to think.
