You can tell these guys experienced 300+ km/h probably for the first time in their lives. A uniquely satisfying feeling, thanks to the Autobahn. Btw other channels have already tested the 0-60 to somewhere around 3.1s which is comparable to the F90, so it's not slower in that regard either.

It’s 5 a.m., and I'm up early to travel across Germany from west to east. Even after nearly seven years of living here, I still can't make it across the country without dealing with traffic, construction, or accidents. Driving by the book my average speed here is lower compared to Poland where the max speed is 140 kmh. The number of speed-limited zones keeps increasing, too. On long drives, you’ll notice most people cruise around 140-160 km/h. Occasionally, you see a really fast car, but it’s nearly impossible to maintain high speeds for long stretches. Still, I’d love to have that yellow machine (heavy or not) for my monthly cross-Europe trips. Great review and fantastic energy, guys!

Problem with this car is it weighs 500 lbs more than a Model S Plaid and has 300 fewer horsepower. It is 500 hp less than a Lucid Sapphire. The ICE cars had an advantage in handling and braking when they weighed less than EV’s, but they made this heavier than an EV.

@@jacobrzeszewski6527 had a f90 comp from 60k-100k miles me and 3 friends brought one together and literally drifted the actual shit out of it. Neglected maintenance sometimes, multiple WOT pulls and hours sitting on limiter. Never had an issue, my 340 was big turbo max effort stock transmission and motor never had an issue for 90k miles, I just got a g87 m2 within the first 2k miles did unlock, custom tune, flex fuel. Hasn’t skipped a beat. Have a 2020 X5 40i just hit 70k miles with jb4 and gets digged everyday probably has a million idle hours hasn’t had a single issue. Modern BMWs are reliable this isn’t the v10 M5 and N54 3 series days anymore

0:51 CUPRA is an offshoot separate brand of Seat now. It uses the range of same 2.0 engines found in GOLF GTI, GTD and R, AUDI S3, Skoda octavia vRS. That's awesome you guys got to this the Autobahn with this! This car is Country appropriate. That's a great saying. Top Gear review claimed it's lost it's edge and doesn't feel like the rebellion it used to. It certainly has a ton of different tweaks you could do to everything and save two of them to the M buttons on the steering wheel. Looked like a lot off fun to me. I didn't think Yuri was going to hit Jacobs 300+!

Yeah it's too heavy, but you can't really blame BMW for it. They have to work around the bs regulations that were put on them. It's not like they sit in the office and say to themselves "Let's go ahead and make this thing 500kg heavier, just for the fun of it". They're playing the cards they are dealt and they are playing their hand better than almost any other car maker right now. They are making distinguishable cars, with a great build quality, at a competitive price point. As to the design: I honestly don't really see what someone could dislike about it. Yes it is a ridiculously massive ship, but then again it is a 5-series. Let's be glad that, unlike Mercedes, they are making the effort to differentiate their product offering a little. The illuminated grill can be turned off and aside from that it's what we already love about BMW, with a modern, edgy twist.

Amazing car and video. I like the styling, kinda looks like an aardvark or beaver - but somehow charming and friendly looking, if a little dopey. The ease and poise going 300 kmh - wow - a truly incredible machine. Seeing it achieve great heights in its natural habitat helps to recontextualize some of BMW's odder decisions, like the lightup crystal dashboard, that perhaps gets lost in translation. Wow, what a car!

Notice how a lady in her 2017 Honda CR-V didn’t cut them off when they were doing that run. In America that lady would’ve cut them off and caused a fatal wreck then the police would charge the BMW who had the right of way for the deaths not the lady who didn’t check her mirrors. In America they don’t care about the rules of the road, only speed. In Germany they emphasize the rules of the road and not so much speed.

How is this an abomination? The side line is absolutely gorgeous, the rear is as classic as it gets. The diffuser is bold, but why not try something different? I think it goes well. There's nothing on this car that's as much of an eyesore as are the kidneys on the G80/G82 or the taillights of the G87. In 5 years from now, all of you that are complaining rn will be swooning over this generation, calling it the greatest M5 of all time 🤣
