All I had to do was look at reviews of the KitchenAid stainless steel rusting (with pictures) and reading that the company wouldn't do anything about it because it was cosmetic, and that killed KitchenAid as a consideration.

Why are companies getting away from water softeners? Not very many anymore. Problems? And mine is very quiet. My 300.

I bought a 300 series last fall. Maybe not totally quiet but so much better than what I had before it is fine. I also like the stainless steel interior and not having a heating coil on the bottom. I do have two issues though. First the print on the panel is so small and unlit which makes it difficult to use. The second is programming for tech -challenged seniors like myself. Reading the manual is like reading it in Chinese for me. The quick start is very misleading. When I bought my new LG clothes washer I found a KZbin video that went step by step and the host even emailed me a suggestion sheet to print out with many excellent suggestions. If only there was one for my DW.

We had that kitchen aid. Threw it away after 2 years. It was absolutely terrible. Endless errors and failures

KitchenAid is a piece of junk. I had one in 2015 and just moved into a house with the exact one. They both failed the same way. Mine lasted 2 years. I just bought a Bosch 300 for my new house.

I have an LG and it's been nothing but problems; no dishes come out clean and 2 years in; I'm on two repairs; one of which was their motor. It just broke again; and I can't buy the plastic part alone; and so I need to buy a $215 part and install will be $150. So I'm gonna change it for a Bosch 300...I'll never buy another LG appliance in my life.
