I must say, while the Pro-Combo will saves you lot of money instead of getting the Raveneye later. You also have to keep in mind where are you going to use it for? Active tracking is really great but it’s certainly not a must and you can easily get away with it while savings a lot of money for other more important accesories. The more you get used to your gimbal and learn how to use it, you’ll realize that active tracking is just there for little purposes. Some of the best videos aren’t even using active tracking.

I have a question I’m thinking of buying a rsc2 myself to help my music video production , I can’t find the answer anywhere so I was wondering if the Rsc2 is able to handle the Canon 90D with the original lens it comes with which is a 18 - 135 Mm lens , I looked online and it says it can support up to 6Lbs and the camera with the lens is only about 730g which is 1.609 pounds , do you think it’s okay for me to buy it ?

If you can afford the DJI RS Pro 3 get that instead. If not, get the DJI RS3.

Hi Craig. I already went with the pro, but unfortunately the raven eye is not compatible with my Sony A7lll. This is why when I connected it disables my autofocus, I ended up returning it and going for the cheaper one instead.

Hey I’d love so advice!! I have the canon 700d and I have just purchased the Rsc2 and the record button and focus isn’t working ect? Any advice for this or do you know why it’s doing this? x is there anything I can do to make it work or is it just not compatible

Very good video. I bought the Pro Combo for the same reasons you mentioned in the video which is upgrading individually makes the long term cost way more expensive. I don't think you can buy the DJI case separately either!

I can barely afford the gimbal itself, let alone the pro version. The only thing that sucks with the basic version is that they don't add a bag. You can buy everything later, yes it's more expensive, but why buy the pro version if you're not sure if you're gonna use everything.

Yup! And the raven eye don’t work with every camera neither, there is a list of compatible cameras, and if yours isn’t compatible, the raven eye becomes useless.

Check the DJI website to see if your camera is compatible with the Ronin.. I started with the Canon 5D MK III 7 years ago. You have to manually focus and there is no focus peaking like on some Mirrorless Cameras, if I recall correctly. For bright sunlight you might need an external monitor like the Atoms Shinobi.

Great review. In regards to pulling focus electronically, can't you use the front dial with the cable plugged in to pull focus? Or do you need the focus motor to do this? Thanks

Hey Will, it depends on your camera model: Check out the compatibility list here for more info: www.dji.com/ca/support/compatibility If it is not supported you can use the focus motor or for old manual focus vintage lenses. Also some people prefer manual focus for video so in that case the focus motor is handy.

On the fuji xt3 electronic focus pulling works but is unusable because it is very unprecise. With the focus motor it works spot on. I also recommend the combo.

I believe it can handle a6600 with 18 135 lens, already test mine with a6400 + canon 17 40 L series or my mate rsc 2 with a7c + 35gm

You should make a video about the field monitor app with the a7siii. Have you found any limitations with it? Does face detection autofocus work with it?

Yes, everything works, I use it on my iPad. Great wireless monitor. I have also used it on the DJI RSC2 with my iPhone.

i have recently owned ronin sc2 pro combo. I hv done my balancing with canon 6d with 50 mm prime and also connect raveneye but facing black mobile screen problem. after switching raveneye camera screen and mobile screen are black, My bluetooth was turned off. Actually my mobile is working with other buttons but camera display and mobile display r black, but recording is going on. After switching off raveneye I am getting my record pls help me out of this problem. Thanks in advance

Thank you for the great review, I found it really helpful. One thing I can't understand is why the tracking through the app feature is not available on this model. I watched it used for Ronin SC and it looks superior (you can program moves etc.) Have you tried using the Ronin app with your model?
