finally, I am a bodybuilder with very thick hands, forearms, arms etc... the arnold/sylvester stalone era size watches look balanced and normal on my frame. the 36mm style these days is so small on me that most people (including my daughter) don't even notice I am wearing a watch if its that size! Good to hear you recognize that there a different styles/and sizes that suit different people

Totally understand. I actually have a smaller wrist at 6.5 but when I wear a 36 or even some 39 they draw attention to how small my wrist actually is. For me 41-42mm is the best size. Kinda tired of everyone complaining about watches not being 40mm and super thin.

I don't think its anything sinister but Harris' clothing line and channel (Iron Snail) is taking off and so there might be concerns over his time/availability, especially in the future. I don't think Sam has the same chemistry to replace Harris but seems like a nice guy. Edit: Also, much of the magic is that Theo likes classic old school design, Harris likes the more tool-ish and cutting edge, Theo likes history and provenance, Harris likes materials and finishing (buy in large) - Sam is just an extension of Theo with less knowledge (but still a nice guy - no hate).

When I bought the latest Moonwatch, the boutique manager slapped a murdered out Speedy on my wrist to further tempt me. The main & subdial indices, logo, hands and text - all gloss on the matte black dial & sub dials. It didn't even have lume. I didn't bite. Too impractical. Daytime watch only. No less than stunning though.

For my first speedypro I wanted to stay true to the actual moon watch so I bought the calibre 321 than was actually worn on the moon. After that I started to collect many other speedy's. However I'm not a fan of way out there versions e.g. anniversary editions and all of the other special editions which Omega is well known for. Also not a fan of the "sandwich" models but I would like to put a sapphire glass on some of my Hesalite versions. IMHO, the speedypro is the second most recognized watch in the world next the Submariner.

Christian, a big Book of Revelation guy!... Just an aside, IWC provided watches to the German Air Force in WWII but they also to the Top Gun edition for the big pilot. I am sure there are plenty of examples of watch companies doing military watches for militaries that are not always on the right side of the ball.

7:30 There is American Watch making! RGM 801, 20 and Tourbillon are American made. Keaton Myrick and JN Shapiro are fully made in the USA. Even the balance spring is made in the USA which has always been an issue in the past. Now the cheapest watch from this group is $13000. But there is a new company coming very soon at an affordable price helping to bring back watch making to America. Studebaker Watch Company is coming 2024 (March target) and Built in America with an American Movement for under $2000! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Also the White Canopus gold is $54200 (Rose gold-$41600).
