Id disagree with the Prada l'homme with the guerlain homme alternative. I own both and I feel like they fill totally different roles for me, and I'm glad I have both. Guerlain homme really shines on hot sunny days especially when you sweat through it a bit, so I love wearing it in social outdoor gatherings. While Prada l'homme seems to be in my opinion more suited to indoor business casual or cloudy day scenarios. It's more of a soft comforting smell to me

Everyone seems to love Boss Bottled Elixir but the scent smells awful on my skin. The incense is so dominant that I smell like a Buddhist temple while wearing it. I wish I could enjoy this fragrance.

Keep the bottle. Its a niche scent. This time next year you will understand it more and be more confident wearing it. Trust me. Bottled elixir is strong,.your skin chemistry is doing nothing to that beast. It's the bitter brown/ green astringency you aren't used.to. you'll come round but it takes a while. 👍 Try wearing dark greens and browns while wearing it. Just.as autumn kicks in.

​@@byMRTNjournals Thank you for your advice. I don't own a bottle; I tested it in a store. In fact, I tried it again yesterday on a paper strip and noticed that the scent was different. I could definitely smell the incense, but it was not as dominant; the scent was way more balanced. I could really tell there was a difference between the scent on the paper and on my skin.

I agree with your recommendation of replacing Sauvage Elixir with Boss bottled Elixir and I would also recommend *Spicebomb Infrared EDP* as another suitable alternative, I have all 3 but I find Sauvage elixir the one I reach for the least even though I do like it!

Carbon, but I prefer sauvage parfum more than these two

Carbon is smoother. But as an ambroxan heavy scent, it works best being a bit more fluttery. Probably one of the few occasions where smooth isn't inherently.better. But preference will play a big part too.

Omar, try Angry Beards Urban Twofinger Cologne. Its insane price quality. Starts off Parma Violets and dries down as floral chamomile milk. Very effervescent in the opening. Creamy in the drydown Ill be buying the "Parfume" version next month. The cologne was £25 and is seriously impressive. In profile, creativity, quality and smoothness.

Anyone what’s going on with the geurlain homme edp bottle? I smelt the bottle you have with that purple liquid, and wanted to buy it. I looked online, and the only fragrance coming up online is one with a minty light green colour liquid, but it has the EXACT same name. Did it get reformulated?

Ordered samples of Xerjoff Alexandria II and Maison Crivelli Oud Maracujá to see if my girlfriend prefers either of them to Ombre Nomade (her current favourite). She's a big "oud" fan. She liked Bond No. 9 New York Oud many years ago and also likes Parfums de Marly Haltane. Will report back

The original Azzaro Chrome EDT was created by Gerard Haury. It's a bit Morillas-ish in style but Alberto didn't create it. Furthermore, a xerjoff guide video should be made.

Azzaro chrome edt is amazing.. classic.. and will always be in my collection. All the cheap versaces do nothing for me.. Dylan blue... man eau.. etc. Eros and its flankers are the only ones worth buying imo.. none of those fragrances capture that great metallic scent chrome has... it should definitely last longer though.. the chrome flankers aren't as good and smell like other colognes that are better.... like aqua di gio
