Their Vetiver, too, is just...exquisite. Guerlain is really an amazing house. Hermes, Comme des Garcons and Guerlain have been the "big" houses in my fragrance adventure since early 2021. Other brands/houses (Lalique, Dior, YSL, Oriza Le Grand) have furnished me with truly magnificent, even breathtaking, winners, but these three houses stand out for repeat smash hits.

Well i can confirm that the fragrances in the new bottles have been definitely reformulated!! I got the L’Homme Ideal edp today and i will be returning it. It smells nothing like the one in the old bottle. Such a shame and it’s a lot thinner and performance is horrible!!

Heritage EDP is more dense, not as airy, more earthy. I didn't notice longer longevity. I enjoy the EDT more.

Great video! I've been looking for bottles of Homme Boisée for a while, and I'm just going to pull the trigger on getting one before it's totally gone. I do prefer the square bottles over the taller rectangular ones, so I'm okay with the new change. I have a bottle of Habit Rouge L'Instinct that is supposed to be shipped today, so once I get my nose on that and test it out a bit I'll give my impressions. I just got the new one from the Absolutes des Orients line and I like it. Hopefully Guerlain keeps up with the good releases.

Great list! Trying to check Habit Rouge again, it seems the EDP is getting hard to find here in the EU. Surprised to see four of the L'Homme Ideal fragrances there, yet not the (unfortunately discontinued) Cologne though. Favorites for me from that line are the EDP, the Cologne, and the L'Intense.

I bought the Ideal EDP (again) online for like 67€ with discount. But they send me the new bottle 😅 I like the old one better. So it’s sold out everywhere, only New bottles available. I found one today and bought it. And bring back the new bottle 😂 the bar code is exactly the same and Guerlain mailed me back yesterday that the ingredients / composition is still the same! Only a new bottle, but I don’t like it😂 and dropped my old one in the bathroom 🙈

Some houses are hard to classify, Guerlain being one of them. I always thought of them as a Perfume House, rather than designer or niche. Still not sure how I feel about the move to this bottle style...only time will tell.

The sudden appearance of a Habit Rouge flanker makes me hopeful that they'll produce more flankers of the Vetiver and Heritage lines. 🤞 Honestly, I'm not normally a fan of flankers, but I feel like the mainstream world needs those types of fragrances right now. Plus I'm confident that Guerlain won't stoop to producing iterations of Sauvage or Invictus. That would be a TRAVESTY. 😄 Then again, if we suddenly start seeing parfum, extrait, elixir and extrait intense parfum privee reserve labels......daaaamn. 😂 I can stands cologne and fraicheur, but I can't stands no more! 🤓

Looking forward to the new bottles but I feel that the modern square bottles do not really match some of Guerlains more traditional scents. Does this make sense? Do you think any of these will be further re formulated going into the new bottles ? Seems to me whenever a frag goes into a new bottle a reformation is also to follow perhaps I’m wrong does anyone feel the same?

Sadly, every time folks mess with the packaging it usually results in a fair amount of reformulation - and never for the better. We shall see.

🙁 Unfortunatly i react very sensitive to Ambroxan/Amberwood so i get only that synthetic woody smell in L‘homme Ideal Extreme. That stuff kills every other note if used in scents. Such a bummer its recently in sooo many fragrances. It gave me headaches and i need to wash it off. 😃 But i tried L‘instant and like it. I like L‘homme ideal edp much more then that extreme version.
