I kinda wish the quest board told you that someone did your voyage. Cause I have made my fair share of traps, god sends, and oddities for other pirates. And only one time had someone messaged me saying thanks for the nice quest. Plus if someone doesn’t do the voyage the board deletes it.

@@benjamincundill8018 Well I’m slightly late to answer but no, those sails are from the pirate emporium, but they have only appeared less than 5 times throughout the games lifespan, and only for about 2 days at a time, making them quite rare.

Btw (at least since I last tested it) when you over buy the voyages they will go over the limit and show up as maxed until you’ve finished amount of voyages you overly purchased. An example being when you buy 100 legend of the veils they will show up as 50 until you’ve completed the 50 extra you purchased.

Four years ago, a KZbinr named Zylbrad showed me for the first time a game about piracy that had just added a megalodon into the game. He had all kinds of wacky adventures on this Sea and I followed along every single one, falling in love with the player interactions and the artstyle and the nature of getting to watch a game grow. Then he stopped uploading it, I was devastated and I honestly kind of fell out of it. Four years later I now own the game despite the fact I hate pvp, and semi-frequently run it with one of my closest friends and viola! KZbin drops another creator before me with a video uploaded *yesterday.* I'm really glad I'm apart of this community, honestly. There is honor amongst thieves, and there are also storytellers. Can't wait to see what the fuck you get up next to, Cliff, because I'll definitely be following it along. I still think my favorite interaction was the one Reaper who sailed right up and asked to engage us in combat from his boat, to which he immediately formed an alliance with us to get us Athena's rep. After we finished our tall tale and his friend got off, he invited us to his crew and showed us the legend hideout for the first time. I can't wait to unlock it on my own and see Merrick again.

Just a little tip for those wanting to hide loot properly, you can partially bury loot before fully buried and 1) it will be more hidden then if you just placed it down and 2) it wont show up in your map bundle.

Every map in those captain's voyage turns a profit, because the supply crates you get from it cost at least 10k more to buy from an outpost

In my experience, you don't need to worry about the reaper doing world events. Once they hit grade V, they will sell at the hideout and lower the flag. What you do need to worry about is the second reaper that shows up while they are doing that. After sinking the reaper at the fort and getting grade V instantly, they will wage war on every emissary on the map, and they will not be subtle about it.

As one good turn deserves another. My experience is that it depends on the number of emissary ships already on a server. 2+ emissary usually means a reaper five will start hunting. Meanwhile an empty server with one reaper no other emissaries means a pvreaper who will usually be a crew of kids ready to have their lunch money stolen with the gamer word hot keyed. The second reaper usually does mean business, and by the second reaper I mean me and the guys.

There was this one time at season 5, i buried a treasure, picked the map from the table and hided it in the island. After one hour i was server-merged - the map was at the same place and treasure also. 👍 Gonna start to test this every day. Good to have remembered 💡

I think the idea of captain's chests is you go do one or two of them at the start of your session, so you can load up on supply crates and empty chests before going and getting good loot. I don't think they're meant to give you stuff you can sell, but make it easier to do stuff later.

At this point encountering a Brig thats out for blood (or plunder) is a stereotype at this point. Seriously every single time you find a Brig, cannon fire shortly follows. On the flip side of that coin, Sloops are usually peaceful and Galleons are Legendarily rare. But yeah, you dont really need to buy voyages anymore, unless you have lvled the Company enough to get their "special" voyages like the gold hoarder Vaults.
