Have you ever known anyone in the mafia/suspected someone's in the mafia?
@Lethgar_Smith8 ай бұрын
My wife and I bought our first house from an old mafia guy. Man, what a fixer upper. It had been decorated in the 70s in the most gaudy fashion you can imagine and then it was just left and the guy just sat in that house by himself and just got older and older. It was shag carpeting and dark wood paneling everywhere. He passed away after we signed the contract but before we close so we had to deal with his drug addicted daughter and that was a nightmare. The daughter's ex-husband showed up at the front door one night shortly after we moved in (I had no idea who he was) and wanted me to sign a paper that said, HE had nothing to do with the sale of this house. I was like, "Man, get out of here" The daughter then calls awhile later to apologize for what her ex-husband did and not to worry about that, bla bla bla. The last I heard she got arrested for attempted armed robbery. She went crazy after she snorted all the money from the sale of the house.

I've had the exact same sort of experience with a mall kiosk salesperson that Suraj was describing. I was so spinless and this guy was so pushy, I let him buff my nail, even though I didn't like it and didn't have the money to buy his crap even if I wanted to, which I definitely did not. Then he turned into a dick when I finally made it clear he was not going to make a sale with me. The next time I was at the mall and one of those people asked to look at my hands, I knew better than to engage with them. I could not wait for my nail to go back to normal.

When it comes to getting sat at restaurants. Let the damn hosts seat you. There is a floor chart with a rotation and it’s incredibly frustrating to either get double sat or have to walk from one end of a restaurant to another for one person that had some bs reason why they wanted a different table. I legit think it’s a power move.
@tayloroliva94037 ай бұрын
I think a nice compromise is letting the front desk know your seating preference before being sat, that way they can seat you at the most accommodating table that is within their rotation/goals and not causing a last min switch

Not only are printed strategy guides useless with the internet, but they have a bad habit of also being wrong. Some guide publishers trying to capitalize on being the first source for information with a guide out on release will use beta or incomplete builds of the game for their data that is then changed by release. Never buy print guides.

He's the least woke and I appreciate that. Although his laugh does come off fake sometimes, and he deliberately leans RIGHT into the mic when he laughs. Chris is over-the-top woke and it's disturbing that rather than accepting it's just a tv show, he acts like Dwight and takes it completely serious and every other sentence is "I would quit I would quit" like shut up, it's a fucking tv show, just enjoy it. Marketta was just as bad but she's mellowed out a bit in terms of being woke-offended like she was in the beginning.

@@sickleweed3270 yup. If I was going on a honeymoon where I knew I'd be leaving abroad and spending lots of money, calling the bank first would literally be my top priority. Kevin's. . . Special. . . Also to be fair he gave the correct answers just forgot a detail, that he's not Jim. Also weird that he gave his work number and not his cell to bank like what era is this?
@layedbackthomas11 ай бұрын

Nah, screw that. I’m about to hit thirty myself next year, and with the obvious exception of moving to another country last year, I’ve been with the same bank for over a decade and have never once informed them that I was traveling beforehand (not intentionally, just as a naive oversight). In that time I’ve traveled every other year to places like Iceland and New Zealand and never had an issue either there or when I came home. Some banks are more forgiving and lax, perhaps, but the point remains it’s highly possible to forget something like this when you’re stressing out, or if it’s never been drilled into you by parents/peers/media like it was with me. It almost always still works out in the end, regardless. The difference in this situation is purely Kevin’s involvement. Him being a nosy dumbass is what fucked things up, not Jim’s oversight. Simple as that.
