I use pib ang gunslinger's choice together, pib not just makes the accuracy perfect it also stops the camera shake when u get shot so i use it with all weapons while i use gunslinger's choice just to make my double actions more decent.

I tested out the painted black one and it seems to still reduce the time pretty significantly, it about doubles the amount of time you can spend in dead eye even with painted black. So I say it's still pretty worth it

has no one noticed the effectiveness of the "necessity breeds" card when the health core is golden or when it is greater than the bar? would it be possible to do a test to see the increase in damage with the golden core and the complete bar? I noticed that for example by eating the special Cripps stews, card becomes active, so I assume that, already basic, the damage would be increased

I use PiB and Unblinking eye together. It helps in a situations then you out of auto-lock distance or enemy in cover and only head popping out, to aim manually and deliver a headshot, while your opponent cant lock on you.

PIB and TUE while not a good combo in combat could actually be pretty useful for hunting. If you are using a springfield, then you are only making one shot anyways, so the lower consumption of Dead eye while in use would be much more helpful and the increased Eagle Eye duration is a nice bonus as well.

I run winning streak and eye for an eye a lot. It works for shotguns, and in pvp it's not often you will get the headshot on the first shot, given how much players move, further I believe eye for an eye has been shadow nerfed because I can no longer maintain a full dead eye bar, it slowly decreases little by little with every headshot I make, even with the gift of focus I barely break even

Great video and very informative. However, some of the rationales assume that it only makes sense to use cards that fully complement each other based on a narrow play style (e.g., if you plan to snipe). I think a lot of people combine cards to get some benefit spread across multiple scenarios because that's typical of their gameplay, and not typical - or practical - to change builds in between.

my build for free roam (am lvl 571): PIB, Iron Lung, Peak Condition, Strange Medicine. Gives good damage reduction, good damage increase, and Strange is a good overall health boost as you get health from all damage inflicted - so good for fights and for NPCs and also for general combat as you still get health even if you don't get the kill shot. For PVP/free roam missions, i swap out SM for Eye for an Eye as deadeye is more important.

i was on pvp against 3 lower ranks guys, me lvl 43 against some guys lvl 34 (the headman), lvl 20 and lvl 18 guys...i had these ability cards:slow and stead 3, winning streak 2, iron lung 3, strange medicine 2 ..the leader with only 1 card open ": a moment to recuperate 1 kills me over and over again with the bolt rifle, i than used painted black 3 , but still he managed to kill me over and over again... so i dont believe in these cards anymore, play defensive and do my collecting and bounty hunting on my own, they were the one to attack me in st. Denis and i got the bounty for killing one of them..lol...

Excellent video! I love your tips. I have settled down on this build for now: PIB, strange medicine, never without one and iron lung. The defense is solid and the "life steal" keeps me good during PVE fight. On PVP i usually change the first two for sharpshooter and peak condition (for sniper fights). It would be nice if you could make a updated video for weapons setup. I don't know if its better to use dual saw-offs and a lancaster; or double mausers with another shotgun for example.

Yesterday I had the weirdest experience in rdr online. As soon as I started a trade mission in blackwater I was teleported to Rhodes right next to a player called "wolf". Fortunately...ish I was able to kill him and run away with the wagon, BUT THEN THE SAME GUY SPAWNED RIGHT NEXT TO ME AGAIN!! That time he killed me and tossed a molotov in my wagon. I tried to report him but as soon as I said yes to "are you sure you want to report the player?" I was KICKED from the game... Did anyone experience that already? I use gunslinger with pib because my dead eye deactivates on its own after a few shots sometimes and I want the pistols to have the damage and accuracy to finish the job quick. I think it’s because. Accuracy controls that reticle around the dot. If you shoot when the dot is wide your less likely to hit However Paint it black does not account for this just that the static dot marks where you shoot, so it’s not synergized well I personally only use paint it black for pvp since everyone does and it’s too powerful. So, I wouldn’t know too much though

im a level 235, and i been using slow and steady, sharp shooter, peak condition and iron lung and i obliterate everyone i fight. only times i ever lose is when someone has explosives or i get ganged up on and even then i dont lose to often unless they are both using explosives.. im also always tonic'd up and have hundreds of collectors alcohol saved up. those cards all seem to work together pretty perfectly. i got lots of protection and lots of damage being dished out especially while in a scope

I play with mostly pib and slip users. I use focus fire with gunslinger, sharp shooter, and peak condition. I use this with a carcano and usually LeMats but sometimes mausers. I feel like any time I try to swap one of these cards out I get whooped on whereas I rock shit 85% of the time with my regular build. I like strange medicine but I feel like I lose my one taps when I swap it for anything. I'm open to advice but I'm probably not gonna take it seriously if you're only a level 150 or lower. There was a lot I still didn't know at 150 and I'm still finding things out at 300. I WOULD like to know how tf pib demons shoot through 40 feet of earth and one tap me from the other side of a hill because I used pib for 150 levels and it never did that for ME. Have you ever noticed that the images on the sharp shooter and gunslinger cards need to be swapped? The gunslinger card has a scope crosshair while the sharp shooter card has an image of revolvers?

My builds (console) PvE:PIB ,Eye for eye ,strange medicine , fool me once. (always go for a headshot on enemy npc or animals) you can literally take out 10+ enemies in a instant if you land all headshots and have full health and dead eye after it no tonics needs to be used saves a lot of money and kill enemies fast and easy as long as you are killing you are almost immortal (Don’t paint everyone at the same time because dead eye will drain do one at a time once you have it memorized you can take out multiple enemies with ease) PvP: PIB ,iron lung ,never without one ,fool me once (Always go for headshots) Iron lung and fool me once protect shots to the body and never without one protects from headshots and PIB to easily get headshots and insta kill other players

But swap out fool me once for the other healing card and eye for and eye and pib.. now that is an op build. You literally never touch tonics in PvE for any reason

I generally run Gunslinger's Choice, Winning Streak, and Fool Me Once. I do run paint it black but I actually very rarely use deadeye. If I were on console I would change this but since I'm on PC, free aim is way easier to use. I tend to prefer pistols to rifles also and generally try to get close.

Slow and steady, gunslingers choice, not so sure what works best for the other 2. I use a pistol, revolver combination so the express ammo doesn't run down so fast. I use the rolling block and it kills most of the time, no need for sharpshooter card. I keep a bow with dynamite arrows ready as spare weapon slot. I no longer bother with shotgun or carbine, they don't seem to work well for me. I'm leveling up other cards to suit the situation. Any idea what would be a best PVP combo to go with slow n steady and gunslingers choice or is this just naff anyway ?
