If you plan on racing xc a bit here and there but still like to get loose when the trail gets rowdy, the Thunderbolt fits the bill quite nicely. IMO the Thunderbolt would be damn near perfect with a stiffer set of wheels and more aggressive tires. I demoed one on some of the older trails in Park City: Sweeney's, Johns99, Jenni's, ect. The bike was super playful and responsive. It definitely felt like an xc bike though; the wheels and tires felt under gunned when things got sketchy.

AH!!!! Someone with more details on this bike. Thank you!!!! Info is so scarce! I am an XC rider who does get gnarly from time to time here in the Sierra Nevadas. I'm 5'7" 165lb's but I ride hard, generally for 3-4 hours at a time and I already have Kenda HoneyBadgers and HighRoller 2's ready for this bike, wheels in the future. Probably Ardent's as well. Any other juicy tidbits pls let me know as I am PUMPED to own my first RM but thank you John for giving me some insight!
