@@Volkaer I was talking from an economy standpoint, Franks get cheap castles so it’s easier to make a lot of them and secure positions quickly. But you’re right, Bohemians have the coolest looking castles in the game (and they’re a blast to play, highly recommend buying that expansion especially if you like closed maps

My first pvp win was somewhat like that... I had my plans, but I saw the other guy had some scouts. I had finally remembered the counters after watching some of T90 and Spirit of the Law, then I made lots of spears, which made me frustrated, since it was not my plan at all, but in the end the guy couldn't even try to switch like blue here and gged.

I find it odd the castle placements from an active play side but i do understand it from a pasive side, like a defensive strat in case the rivel gets in so you still have some eco production safeguarded and try to counter...so i guess as it is said, tbe best attack is a good defence

Celts. I love that the Devs used Brave Heart as inspiration for the celts and went with the early to high middle ages build and not high to late middle ages. I also love their UT strongholds, to represent the hillforts they made extensive use of. The only way I would alter the DE2 Celts are as follows: UT imp:Furor Celtica Ram +40% HP and increased Ram speed. Stable Light cav No knight available in castle age but upon reaching imp you can automatically train cavalier (Same goes for Gaels/Irish) To show their lack of heavy cav until the Hospitallars set up a branch HQ in Scotland in th 1200’s AD. AR Archer - Crossbowmen (But wielding a regular bow) (Same goes for Gaels/Irish) Elite skirm should have +1 Melee armour and also benefit from the Infantry move 15% faster bonus. SW Siege ram Mangonel Scorpion

I think celts are fine, but i would like to see some more busted skirms in game :) I thought vikings should have +1 melee armor for skirms, but they got quite a lot buffs recently...

I play a lot of Franks and I usually go skirmishers against the pikes in addition to the knights and then try to use my mobility as well to do sufficient damage or take advantageous fights. Will try axemen or handcannons now though

Spoliers. The Franks player did not mine stone and build castles and did not go up to the imperial age. The Celts player made Trebs and did not have a chance to use them and indeed would have had no real target except for that one and only TC. Perfect LEL game.

Chat filtering.... the question is answered in the name. The players' names are not the same thing as the chat. So, the filtering that is programmed for chat isn't used for the players' names unless the same routine is explicitly called to do so. As a programmer, I can say that it is possible that they have a "string filter routine" for obfuscating curses, etc, and that it can be called from the chat routine and the name routine, but if somebody didn't think of calling it to check for the name, then it would never filter the name... it would only filter when it is called to filter something... which the chat obviously does. My brother used to use the name Phaq2 and it showed perfectly fine.

wodd cutting is mot just cardio, heck i would say its more of strenght and weight lifting than cardio has most wood needs quite alot of strenght to cut even with good axes, and when you cut wood you need to transport it but i do agree with no gyms and food variety being buff like that is very rare

I've seen 'night' be changed to '***ht' on some sites; the site's auto censor picks up the 'nig', goes into overdrive and changes it to the asterisks. I find it so weird as a spectator how many of these players win a fight and then just... stop. They go back to walling up and building like they expect the game to last another hour. If they just pushed with their military, especially when they've just gutted their opponent's entire ability to fight back, it'd be over. Just push? Just end it right now? I guess the pressure of ranked makes it harder than me sitting here in safety.
