As a result, i had more time to concentrate on my art school, music, journaling, along with all the homeworks from school! And, i started feeling much better!

4 steps: 1. Make your social media apps less accessible 2. Physically distance yourself from your phone 3. Make plan on doing things for your mind, body, and spirit 4. Schedule a time of a day when you can do whatever you want including surfing social media. Thanks for these helpful steps. Love your video.

Anxiety had been my constant shadow. Social events were minefields, deadlines loomed large, even leaving the house felt like a Herculean task. Then came microdosing. Tiny amounts of psilocybin, almost imperceptible, began to shift the landscape of my mind. The edges of my worries softened, the constant chatter of self-doubt quieted. It wasn't a cure, but it offered a lifeline - a way to navigate my emotions with more grace, to reclaim a sense of calm I thought I'd lost.

i deleted all social media a couple years ago except youtube and tumblr. it was great, i had more free time and didn’t have to worry about social media etiquette or people’s posts that i don’t care about, etc. i find that most people can’t picture life without social media, so i consider myself lucky that i never really got on with it in the first place, but i still try to convince some people too. this is awesome :]

I put a 15-minute limit on Instagram, but sometimes I still end up scrolling for like 30 or 45 minutes. It’s way better than before, though, when I was mindlessly scrolling for 2 hours every day. That 15-minute limit is like a little nudge saying, "Hey, you've been scrolling for a while, do you really need more?" It helps me keep track of how much time I’m actually spending on social media. So every time that 15-minute mark hits, I realize I've been at it for a bit and if I want more time, I just add another 15 minutes. Plus, it helps me make sure I’m only watching the creators I love since I mainly use Instagram to check out art. Well im not saying my screen time was good but rn im more concious abt what i consume on the internet

I’ve been trying to avoid social media every year since I entered my 30’s but it only works for a few weeks of new year. Watching your video reminds me of how I used to deal with my boredom when I was young and no social media on a phone. I used to carry a book and read it everywhere. Sometimes I tried to find a sign in different language and read it. I’m trying to recall those feelings but it’s not easy since a smartphone becomes my boredom’s solution for a while. But I will try again next year.

This is a great video! A lot of people preach to completely leave social media, but I actually rely on KZbin for learning things, especially languages. But even for other hobbies which could be replaced by books, I'm a visual learner, meaning books just don't teach as well as animations or watching someone does. The problem with social media is that we use it too much and go onto the wrong things which make us stressed such as politics and brainrot --- but I don't believe this is doomed to be our relationship with these platforms. This year, I sorted out the content I watch --- language-learning and life tips. Next year, it will be about replacing most of the time (slowly) with other hobbies, because I really don't need 10+ hours a day to practice French (and therefore most of that time is actually wasted).

these are great tips!! especially “get comfortable with boredom.” when you are used to getting instant gratification by using tiktok, youtube, instagram and constantly having something stimulating your mind, it makes existing outside of the digital so much harder. i found myself not even able to eat breakfast without watching something on my phone. so, i decided to not use my phone when i first woke up. first i had to eat, brush my teeth, and get dressed and THEN use my phone. yes going through my morning routine without music or a youtube video was more boring, but it was a very necessary step in me kicking my phone addiction. thanks for this video! i still have a long ways to go and these tips are helpful

Now it has long term effects, you no longer care or give a slight f*ck about whatever there's on social media. If you're stuck, change your account's password with a new one that only ONE person knows! It can be your guardian. But ce aware that you SHOULD NOT know the password and that you CAN turn on two steps verification mode: like just put your account under your guardian's phone. VERY SIMPLE!
