Hi Ryan. I have lived here in Buriram for the last 2 1/2 years and really like the rural life. I started with lions mane from fruiting bodies in the end of June after seeing you promoting it in one of your videos. The first thing I noticed after a few weeks was that I started to smell things better. After about 3 weeks I started to dream more. At one month I would say I was more relaxed and this time I was back to work and I felt more in control and did not worry that much if something would happen. Now after almost 4 months the relaxed feeling and I also manage to look at myself in situations where before I would become angry and upset! And now I can control it and think logical. Also I feel better to focus on tasks when I want to but I can also ignore them instead of thinking about them without getting anything done. I have also taken reishi the last month after being back in Thailand so maybe some of these symptoms are from that. I enjoy your videos and hope you can do more into businesses here in Thailand like the dry freeze factory. We see huge plants and warehouses all over Isaan so I am sure there are many stories behind all this. I will try to go to Chang stadium next Wednesday when they will play against an Australian team. Also the Motopg is on next weekend but it is very busy. Have a nice weekend and I will continue following your story.

I know nothing about bikes too, but I found out it is a good idea with small petrol engines to have a fuel shut off- valve in the fuel line (cost 30 baht) to close when you park the bike up for a while, some modern carburetors now have a electric valve, but when it fails it allows the engine to get flooded with gas and then you are potentially kick starting a bomb

Many years ago my young son had a souped up cafe racer bike. It was rascal to start, but it was a goer. He sold it one Sunday morning and the buyer had arranged finance from a motorbike shop. To start it you had to tickle the carb up a bit. The buyer rode off and apparently met his mates and they chewed the cud for an hour. When the time came to ride off he overdid the tickling. Flooded the carb and with petrol everywhere it burst into flames and exploded. He phoned my son and said he would refuse to pay for the bike. I phoned the motorbike shop and and the proprietor said don't worry. The cheque will be honoured. A long winded story but a reminder that when riding a motorcycle you have a highly inflammable machine between your legs. Good that Damo and the kids were not on it when it happened.

Hello! Second hand it is always a Lottery, nothing else. Once bought a car and it start to leak gasoline after 2 hours standing on parking space, did fixed it quickly to drive home 400km. After that try to fixed it 5 times with same problems 5 times. After all did order original part and did past over that trouble. Another one example today, was thinking to check oil on my new for me but second hand car - too much engine oil, overfill and electronic measurment says also same. Just suck off with oilpump maybe around 0,75l - starts to be ok. Do not worry - life is what it is. Condition of some item as a car, motorcycle or scooter is a bit impossible to check. Sparkplug have sealing, but if you do take it off for expectation and do not clean first area around it, you have possibility to got a leakege under it in case some dirt under sealing ring after reinstall. Do not worry - be Happy. Do not blame yourself or anyone else. Someone who I do know need to stop a car in middle of Highway because it had a fire in trunk, at least had time to grab her kid from back seat. Car got a lot of damages before firefighters did came. For myself - buy new if you can, if not - secondhand and pray it will be good one. Best wishes to everyone, Ruslan and Malai from Finland

If you're not using your car very often or not at all for longer periods of time, a little bit of preventative maintenance can help keep it in shape while it's sitting unused. If possible, take it for a drive once a week for about 30 minutes to warm up the engine and circulate your car's fluids. Including your car can't be repaired or the cost of repairing it is more than its value then it will be deemed a total loss. When this happens, you will be compensated based on the value of your car, allowing you to get back on the road as quickly as possible.

Ryan and Damo, don't beat yourselves up over this. Yes' it could have been worse, but it wasn't and you could have had a similar problem with an out of the showroom, brand new bike! I have only ever had 2 brand new vehicles and both of them gave me more trouble than any of my second hand vehicles. I recently bought a second hand Honda Spacy, 11 years old and so far it has been excellent apart from a small problem with the front brake, which a mechanic has now resolved. Like you, I have no experience of motorcycles, so rely on "experts" to guide me. Unfortunately some of the Thai "experts" are self taught and may not cover all points. This is, and always will be the Thai rural way and the motto Caveat Emptor, (Buyer Beware) is worth remembering. 99 times out of 100 all will be well, but you just happened to get a dud. Loved the shots of Hugo and Otis in their wellies playing together with the Silkie. It looked as though Hugo's boots had been stuck down so that he couldn't move! Priceless footage. Well done Damo on renovating the old rabbit house and preparing it for the chicks. I think that you got their seal of approval 🙂 Otis, you are making such good progress with your piano and reading music too! Well done young man. God bless you all 😀❤🙏

Since 1980 I've been playing around with motorcycle, at start as teenager (12) the cheapest junk around, later low cost, mainly because I liked to work on them 😅 My father used to say "Frank needs 2 of everything, one to take apart and play with and one to use"😂 You bought a good 2008 motorcycle. $*cks that the carburetor flooded and have a leak + a fire, odds "a million to one".. but yet it happened. The motorcycle is fine, but I can understand the sentiment. It would NOT have exploded, that is, perhaps after 10 -15 minutes if the fire ever would have reached the tank. But then you would be driving around with flames all that time. 555... There never was any real danger except having a good scare! Good you could change it. Don't be too harsh on the mechanic, there isn't need to clean all mechanical parts and take them apart, if it's working OK. Just bad luck that sadly even can happen with the new second hand 😢 Those odds... You need to be extremely unlucky to get that lightning strike twice haha

Mate, I can tell you right now that wasn’t a bad mistake buying the bike. Bikes like these go FOREVER like you already know. They are ridiculously cheap and easy to repair it’s was a no brainer to get that bike. I can imagine you might have thought a little shitty thinking you might have made a bad choice. Honestly I wouldn’t ever say the guy who sold it to you was a bad guy either. Obviously you say your not mechanically minded but for how easy these things are to understand and take care of you might find a small bit of enjoyment learning something new like everything else you have learnt in life. 🙏🏼 Im glad no body was hurt. Perhaps you should be lucky the tank was full. It.s the fumes that burns, not the liquid gazoline. That's why most garages never do welding jobs on empty gazoline tanks, the fumes in it can make it a real bomb. That's why you most likely have to buy a new new tank if you get leakage in it, you can not find anyone that is willing to fix it (or perhaps you can find someone in Buriram 😄 )

As an ex mechanic you can't tell when something like this will happen. I've seen brand new cars catching fire for no known reason and turn into Roman candles on the side of the road.
