Thanks for the tips on how to end the year well. Love your content! Wishing you and yours a joyous holiday season! 1. Write a heartfelt note of gratitude. 2. Reflect on your wins, no matter how small. 3. Identify what you can consciously release or forgive; make a "stop-doing" list. 4. Do a top up shop for food, toiletries, batteries, etc. Bonus points for setting up subscriptions so you don't run out during the new year. 5. Book all of your annual health, car, home maintenance appointments. 6. Check your emergency equipment (smoke detectors, fire extinguishers) and supplies (first aid kit), plus update any emergency plans or contact numbers. 7. Declutter one small visible space. 8. Digital declutter - delete old digital photos (blurry pics, duplicates, no longer meaningful, that folder of "screen shots") 9. Digital declutter - unsubscribe from 10 or more newsletters. (search for the word "unsubscribe"); also consider declaring "inbox bankruptcy" and archiving ALL of your unread / un-answered emails. 10. Do a mini financial audit - however that looks for you. 11. Do a donations drop off or arrange a donations pick up. 12. Prioritize quality time with family or friends. 13. "Dry Run December" focus on tiny daily action(s) to trial in December, to get a head start on the new year.

I think the stuff on Kitchen counters is like the T1000 from Terminator 2 - they just reform after you look away!! In all honesty I had a good chuckle listening to this

I have decided that my 'Dry Run December' action will be to ask myself 'What do I WANT to do' at least once a day. I have the privilege to be able to do things that I want as well as things I need to do (and sometimes they are the same thing) but I talk/scare myself out of them on a regular basis.

I simply *LOVE* your tips videos because they are so well thought out and helpful. I dont find others tips videos who discuss stocking up on essentials or mini-financial audits. Thank you for putting so much wisdom into your advice, Lara. ❤

I greatly appreciated your "How did you do that?" line about having enough friends to call it a group. 😂 Thank you and I can 100% identify with that! I had a brain fart last night about a way to further simplify a closet space to fit in 2 large items that currently have no home. So that will be my declutter one area. You made good points about many things that others don't mention, like the details in financial management and taking time to do or schedule health appointments. Great list for ending 2024 on good footing!

Just seen this video AFTER commenting my “2025 prep” tasks on the other video the other day 😂 . I love that idea that “every little drop of kindness counts” & the principle of celebrating the small wins. Tech set-up & emergency drills sound relieving. I have so much digital clutter it’s painful but your ideas for doing small bits are really helpful, as is the specific advice for reconnecting with old friends.

Great tips for the New Year! The digital declutter for photos and emails is so important. I decided to write a list of online stores I purchase from and keep it on my desk and unsubscribe from all of them to tone down the email clutter. I don’t purchase many things anymore but at least I’ll have a list of the stores I do purchase from for the future. Hopefully it will slow down the constant advertising. Black Friday and Sales of the year are killing my Inbox! 😱😂

Great video. When you said RELEASE...so convincent I knew that is going to be my word for 2025. I have to release in so many ways. Thank you.

Oh the digital clutter especially all the inspirational quotes hit me. We won’t even start on any of the other stuff 🫣🤭🤣 Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 🙇♀️👏💪👍🙏💐🐕🦺

I'll probably start with some gratitude notes. It fits my budget this year, too. Then tackling an annoying area around here and fix it up! I enjoy your down to earth comments, and reminding us to let go of certain things we can't change or did. And I have a bit of digital clutter that keeps coming back. Gotta stay at that one, getting rid of old screenshots. I'm giving myself the gift of a more spacious home this Christmas.

Thank you for the reminder about appointments. I went ahead and made my annual mammogram appointment. And it's a good thing I did it now, because they're scheduling 3 months out!

Thanks for some great ideas! One thing I do at the end of the year is go through the contacts on my phone and delete the ones I no longer need. Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the push! I unsubscribed for a few more emails, especially ones I’ll go looking for if I need something. I don’t NEED to hear from them more than I hear from my mom. 😂

Genius! Using "Search" to identify mail lists to which I am subscribed. Already unsubscribed to more than 15! Thanks for the tip. BTW...if you ever hear from someone with a "group of friends" about how such a feat was accomplished, please do a follow up! Thanks, so much.
